PATERSON, NEW JERSEY: The ex of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' personality John Fuda claims he barred her from seeing their teen son. Brittany Malsch, whose identity had not been disclosed until now, spoke exclusively to The US Sun from jail, where she is watching her son Jaiden play a role in his reality TV star stepmother Rachel's plot on the popular Bravo program.

Fans of 'RHONJ' discovered on the April 4 episode that John has been parenting his son Jaiden alone since he was 18 years old. They also enjoyed the moment in which Rachel and John discuss how Rachel wants to adopt Jaiden because she views him as a son. The pair owns a parking lot, a personal service, a tile store, and a burger joint. They are raising three kids in New Jersey and fans are now finally getting some information on Jaiden's biological mother.

Who is John Fuda's ex?

On 'RHONJ,' the name of the teen's biological mother is yet to be revealed. The US Sun can now exclusively disclose that Jaiden's real mother Brittany is a prisoner spending time at a halfway house in Paterson, New Jersey.

Brittany used to work as a bartender during her time out in the real world. Since June 2018, she has been in and out of jail. Brittany is eligible for release in September 2023, according to her offender report, but she can stay in jail until her maximum release date of October 2024.

Brittany has a lengthy criminal record dating back to the last five years when she last saw her son. She has been accused of breaking and entering a building, laundering $250,000 in cash, and first-degree possession with the purpose of selling crystal methamphetamine. Brittany says she was convicted by the association in a robbery case involving the theft of expensive goods from a storage unit. She last turned herself in to the Millicent Fenwick House, a 50-woman facility with a residential community release program for incarcerated women with drug misuse and mental health problems, in December 2022, after being in and out of prison.

Brittany revealed to the news outlet that she has another boy from a previous relationship, born in 2012.

Brittany lost custody to John

Brittany and John dated for four years and were engaged for two before splitting up in 2009, according to her. Rachel's husband John originally applied for custody years before he was awarded full custody, according to New Jersey court documents obtained exclusively by The US Sun. He asked for the first case to be dismissed in October 2008, citing reconciliation with Brittany, but then refiled years later. A New Jersey court awarded the Fuda Tile manager full custody of Jaiden in June 2011.

'I'll have to get a lawyer'

Brittany, 35, divulged more of her family drama, which was barely covered on 'RHONJ,' in an exclusive chat with The US Sun. She stated that she attempted to contact her son, but John refused, "Since I've gone to prison, John has prevented me from speaking and seeing him whatsoever. This was not my choice." The former barmaid stated that she saw Jaiden "periodically up until 2017," prior to her most recent significant incarceration.

Brittany called John every time she came out to see her baby, but he "refused." The New Jersey native went on to say that she made an "extremely selfless decision" to relinquish her parental rights "for Jaiden's own good," and that she did what she thought was "most beneficial" for him because she couldn't be a part of his life due to her imprisonment. Brittany added, "When I'm out of here, I'll have to get a lawyer because he won't let me see him."

The mother of two told the news outlet that she heard about her son's presence on 'RHONJ' from a friend. She's been tuning in from the halfway house every week since. "I think it's great. I love it," she said about watching Jaiden on TV. "He's amazing."

When questioned about how she thinks about Rachel's desire to adopt Jaiden, she told The US Sun that she is "not surprised." "It doesn't surprise me one bit. I knew they would, so I was expecting it," Brittany explained. "I actually predicted this would happen when I first heard about them being on the show. John will take any opportunity to make himself look better by making me look worse." She went on, "But I'm unfazed by what others say and think."

'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 9 drama continues every Tuesday at 9 PM ET only on Bravo.
