WOODSIDE, CALIFORNIA: Joe Rogan expressed his admiration for Mark Zuckerberg after the Facebook CEO won his first Jiu-Jitsu match recently, referring to him as a "f****** savage." Rogan, who formerly served as a commentator for the UFC, discussed the achievement with comedians Kim Congdon and Sara Weinshenk on a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience' podcast.

Rogan praised Mark Zuckerberg, the 38-year-old billionaire behind Meta, for his discreet training approach, which involved wearing a disguise. He said, "Did you see Mark Zuckerberg won a gold medal in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition? Mark Zuckerberg is a f****** savage."

'You get strangled by a super-nerd'

Rogan continued, "This dude has been training Jiu-Jitsu. This is what he did. He wore a Covid mask and he f**king put a hat on and he hid. He used an alias." Rogan then joked, "Imagine you're right about to compete in like maybe your first competition. Well just give it a try. I mean, what's the worst thing that could happen? Worst thing that could happen — you get strangled by a super-nerd in front of the whole world."

Zuckerberg is a known practitioner of multiple martial arts, and the 38-year-old seemed to enjoy a successful debut in competitive jiu-jitsu as he applied his learnings in a tournament format. During the BJJ Tour competition in Woodside, California, Zuckerberg won the gold medal in the Nogi Master 1 White Belt Feather Weight Division, as well as the silver medal in the Gi Master 2 White Belt Feather Weight Division.

'Wonder how much he paid for those medals'

There was a strong reaction on Twitter following the news of Zuckerberg's success in the Jiu-Jitsu competition. People expressed surprise and amusement at the thought of the billionaire CEO competing in a martial arts tournament and winning medals, with one tweeting, "If I was a billionaire like him or Bruce Wayne, I'd be going around learning ]martial] arts, reading ancient books and fighting crime too." A hilarious comment read, "Needs to spend less time on the mat and more time on the keyboard fixing Facebook," while a third added, "Wonder how much he paid for those medals," followed by laughing emojis.

One user joked, "The guy lost because he was afraid of getting blocked on Facebook," while another stated, "Because he whined like a baby and the referee changed the call and called it a match when in fact the other guy won." A third asked, "Were they real medals or 'META Medals'?"
