SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Jessa Duggar is facing a backlash after her three-year-old daughter Ivy was seen in a video diving onto a couch from a chair. With the 'Counting On' star previously receiving criticism for her parenting, fans are debating whether it was wise of the mother to indulge her daughter in such a risky activity.

The criticism started when 30-year-old Duggar uploaded the adorable clip to her Instagram. In one, Ivy was seen balancing herself on the edge of two chairs in the living room before pushing them together and landing with a bounce on a nearby couch while grinning and giggling. Fans have criticized Duggar for her parenting errors and blunder a number of times this year, per The US Sun.

'A never ending adventure'

In the Instagram video, Ivy can be seen moving two living room chairs together. The little girl, who was wearing no shoes, then slowly raised herself up onto the chair handles. She then softly snuck up to the edge. Ivy took a deep breath and then leaped into the air, her blue dress and matching headband flowing in the breeze. She laughed and smiled as she bounced to a stop on an adjacent couch. Duggar captioned the video, "I thought she was making a ‘stage’ for her song performance. But this was merely a launching pad to bigger and better things."Her mother added, "She’s a never ending adventure."

How did the Internet react?

The Internet is divided over Ivy's risky stunt. One set of followers was applauding Ivy and her mom for letting the kid be one and commented, "Good on you for letting your kids be kids!" While a second fan commented, "Good for you letting her do tricky things. So many parents would stop this, but it is NECESSARY for a child's development." A third fan supported and commented, "That is a young miss who knows what she wants and will put in 100% to get there." Another fan commented, "Let kids be kids. My children loved making mud pies and playing with big cardboard boxes (better than toys from the store)."

However, there's another set of followers criticizing Duggar for letting her 3-year-old kid take such a huge risk of getting hurt. One such follower exclaimed, "OMG a heart attack." A second follower requested, "Be careful baby girl." A third one snarked at mom Duggar and said, "And you thought what she did was safe??? Ok got it!!"

Jessa Duggar's past parenting mistakes

Critics have scrutinized Duggar's parenting in the past as well, but this year they have been particularly watchful of the Duggar daughter. The young mother received criticism in January for acting "unhygienic" in a situation involving Fern, her youngest child. She received backlash for allowing the 1-year-old to suck on a lollipop that had been stuck to the back of her frock for a full thirty minutes.

The criticism started after Duggar posted a video of the infant scouring their living space for lollipops. Fern was relieved to receive the lollipop back when Duggar showed her where it was, but her mother received criticism for allowing Fern to consume it. One critic wrote, "This seems somewhat... unhygienic?" in a since-deleted comment.

In other photos, her sons could be seen relaxing on the couch, playing cards, and skating. Ivy, her daughter, was pictured in several of the images playing with a pair of goggles, reaching into drawers, and wearing roller skates in the living room of their home in Arkansas.
