"All seemed to be going well until just a few days before Christmas and I started having some spotting," Jessa began over a backdrop of melancholy piano music. "Little did I know our world was about to be turned upside down."
Jessa, who previously miscarried in 2020, posted a scan picture of her small fetus with the words "NO FHR" scrawled over it. The term "FHR" stands for fetal heart rate.
However, the recording abruptly ended without her providing any additional explanation.
'We would never be able to hold this baby in our arms'
Soon after, Jessa uploaded the second part of the video, disclosing that she had lost the baby a few days before Christmas 2022, and that she had to endure a D&C operation at the local hospital. "I was able to thank God at that moment for giving us this life, even though we would never be able to hold this baby in our arms," Jessa said in the recording. Her specialist also wanted her to be examined for blood-clotting disorders, which Jessa said occur in her family.
