RENO, NEVADA: Actor Jeremy Renner, who plays Clint Barton in the Marvel series ‘Hawkeye,’ was reportedly hospitalized following a snow plowing accident on Sunday, January 1. He is in “critical but stable condition.” According to the statement shared by the actor’s spokesperson, the 51-year-old actor was involved in a “weather-related accident” that left him with injuries near his house in Mt Rose-Ski Tahoe in Reno.

The two-time Oscar nominee currently stars in the Paramount+ series 'Mayor of Kingstown' and the second season of the show will begin to air on January 15. Renner, who was previously nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 Academy Award's for his performance in 'The Hurt Locker,' has a net worth of $80 million.

Renner, who also owns a ranch above Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which has been battered with a "blizzard of the century" in recent weeks, as stated by The Guardian, shared a tweet on December 13, 2022, writing, "Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke #WinterWonderland."



 

$5M donation for seriously ill children

In 2019, Renner, along with other Marvel's top Avengers including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd and Brie Larson, donated $5 million from their paychecks to help ill children in hospitals around the world, reports ABC.

Born in Modesto, California on January 7, 1971, Renner supports a total of 13 charities with his fortune—American Foundation for AIDS Research, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, DonorsChoose.org, Entertainment Industry Foundation, Exceptional Minds, Feeding America, Got Your 6, Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation, Sherry Lansing Foundation, Stand Up To Cancer, The Lourdes Foundation,Tibet House the US and Unicef, reports Useline.
