'I couldn't be happier': Jeremy Renner's daughter Ava joins him to judge UCLA's annual Spring Sing 2023

Showcasing the most talented students of UCLA, the competition includes performing sketch comedy, songs, and dance

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeremy Renner and his 10-year-old daughter were on a "date" on Friday evening, May 19 as she joined her father who was set to judge UCLA's Spring Sing 2023. Showcasing the most talented students of UCLA, the competition includes performing sketch comedy, songs, and dance.

Ava held her father's hands who was waving to the crowd as the duo was escorted by a Student Alumni Association member. After his victorious recovery from the horrifying snowplow accident in January 2023, the actor now walks using a cane.

'I'm on a date right now with my daughter'

Renner was seen giving Ava a high-five as they sat at the judge's table. During the event, the 'Avengers' star said he was  

"Happy to be here," and added, "I'm on a date right now with my daughter," reported People.

"This is awesome. I couldn't be happier to sit and watch these [performances]. It takes a lot of courage to get up on the stage and do this, and I commend everyone that's come out here and done this," he continued.

'The most important person in my life is my daughter'

In a recent episode of the show 'Rennervations' on Disney +, Renner opened up about his love for his preteen daughter. "The most important person in my life is my daughter. She makes me the best version of me. She inspires me to be better," he said.



 

Earlier this year, Renner shared an Instagram post for his daughter's 10th birthday and wrote, "I stand up for you, and I am stronger than before because of you. I am your father, I am your protector, and I am only yours. I love you."

Previously, he was joined by Ava whom he shares with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco for the premiere of reality series on Disney + in Los Angeles which was his first public appearance after the tragic accident. 

While Renner arrived at the Recency Village Theatre for the Spring Sing competition, he used his left hand to hold onto a cane to walk into the event and his right hand to hold Ava. Both father and daughter wore matching outfits to the event with Ava wearing a blue dress with earrings and a necklace and the actor wearing a classic navy blue suit.
