'Such a touching photo': Jennifer Aniston shares throwback photo with late parents to mark her 54th birthday
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Aniston, who turned 54 over the weekend, honored "the two humans who created her" by sharing a rare throwback photo with her parents. The 'Murder Mystery' star posted the touching image on her Instagram on Monday, February 13, where she can be seen posing with her late mother and father, Nancy Dow and John Aniston.
"Thinking about these two humans that created me as I bask in the afterglow of a beautiful birthday. Thank you ALL for my beautiful birthday wishes. I felt sooooo much love from so many, and ALL of it is going to carry me through this wild and beautifully unknown year ahead. I love you!" Aniston wrote alongside the heartwarming photo. The 'Friends' alum and her half-brother John Melick announced that their mother Nancy Dow had died at the age of 79 in May 2016. Meanwhile, Aniston, who shared a famously difficult relationship with her father, announced his death at age of 89 on November 11, 2022. The father-daughter duo reconciled before his death and were on regular talking terms during the pandemic. Aniston shared a string of images of the pair as she penned a tribute for him on Instagram.

Aniston’s post received an outpour of love and support from her celebrity pals and fans who wished her well on achieving her milestone birthday. "Happy birthday," wrote supermodel Naomi Campbell alongside red heart and cake emojis. Meanwhile, comedian Chelsea Handler, commented: "Happy birthday you beautiful tush!! I'm glad you are surrounded by such love." Model Helena Christensen wrote: "Wow this shot. I hope you had a beautiful day you gorgeous girl." Actress Rita Wilson also chimed in and wrote: "Such a touching photo..."
Reese Witherspoon and Jimmy Kimmel pay tribute to Aniston
Reese Witherspoon shared a sweet birthday message to her 'Morning Show' costar on her own Instagram page on Saturday, February 11. "Happy Birthday @jenniferaniston! What a gift to get to work with my big sis every day on @themorningshow," Witherspoon, 46, wrote, referring to when she guest starred on Friends as Rachel's (Aniston) sister, Jill Greene. "You always give the best advice and endless LOVE and support. I [heart] you, Jen! Everyone wish her a Happy Birthday!!" she concluded the caption.
Chat show host Jimmy Kimmel also paid tribute to the star with a montage of similar snaps of the pair. "Happy birthday to my friend from Friends. We take this one pic very well." he wrote in the caption.
