Jason Sudeikis spotted enjoying LA Lakers game with son Otis, 9, amid custody battle with ex Olivia Wilde
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Sudeikis enjoyed a fun boys’ night with his 9-year-old son Otis, watching their favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Denver Nuggets. The father-son duo appeared in high spirits as they sat courtside to witness the NBA teams face off at Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles on Monday, May 22.
For the game night, the ‘Ted Lasso’ star opted for a comfy look, featuring a beige sweatshirt with multi-colored prints. He styled the sweatshirt with a pair of navy blue pants and donned a brown Newsboy cap over his greying hair. The Hollywood fixture, who shares Otis with ex-wife Olivia Wilde, also sported a salt-and-pepper beard as he completed his look with a pair of dark-rimmed eyeglasses. Sudeikis’ youngster, who is often seen playing in local soccer games, matched his dad’s vibes and wore a navy blue tracksuit with a grey t-shirt underneath.

The star-studded face-off was also attended by a number of A-listers including Jason Bateman, Adam Sandler, Vin Diesel, Floyd Mayweather, and Kardashian mogul Kris Jenner. Sudeikis and Otis’ game night came amid the actor’s court battle with ex-wife Wilde over who would get custody of the children. The former couple, who announced their split in 2020, has been in a custody battle for the past several years due to the fact that Wilde lives in LA and Sudeikis lives in New York City. In addition to Otis, Sudeikis and Wilde are also parents to their 6-year-old daughter Daisy.
In her most recent court filing, the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star claimed that Sudeikis has paid her zero child support despite having a "significantly superior" income. As per court documents obtained by the Blast, Wilde claimed that she had been covering “100% of the costs for the children’s care,” which included food, clothing, and extracurricular activities. She reportedly demanded $500k from her ex as he makes a substantially higher amount than her.
'Jason would embarrass me professionally'
"I am asking the court to pass an order regarding child support so that I can adequately provide for our children commensurate with Jason’s standard of living. I am also asking that Jason contribute to my attorney and accountant fees and costs, not only due to him being in a significantly superior position than me financially, but because the vast majority of the fees I have incurred have been due to Jason and his counsel’s egregious, unnecessary, and aggressive conduct," her court filing read, as per MEAWW’s previous report.
Wilde apparently received the court papers while she was on stage at a ‘Don't Worry Darling’ event at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. After the event, she alleged that her ex's "outrageous legal tactics" were a calculated move. "The fact that Jason would embarrass me professionally and put our personal conflict on public display in this manner is extremely contrary to our children's best interests," she said in court documents, as per Harper Bazaar. Later, she also claimed that Jason is deliberately prolonging their custody battle in an attempt to cause her financial hardship.
