It's a girl! Jamie Lynn Spears and hubby Jamie Watson welcome first child together
While the world continues to obsess over the birth of Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's baby, another celebrity mom gave birth to a healthy baby girl as well. People has reported that actress and singer Jamie Lynn Spears is officially mom-of-two, having given birth to her second daughter at 10.02am on Wednesday, April 11.
Jamie, who is already mother to 9-year-old Maddie Briann Aldridge, is welcoming her first child with husband of four years, Jamie Watson. The adorable baby girl, who has been named Ivey Joan Watson, was born in Covington, Louisiana weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz.
"She was the most graceful woman I’ve ever known," said Jamie while revealing the meaning behind her newborn's name.
Jamie announced her pregnancy back in December, wherein she shared on Instagram that her family would be expanding soon. She captioned a beautiful photo of herself, her husband and her daughter, "Looks like we are starting off 2018 with another big milestone...sooo happy to announce that Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister."
Along with being a mother, Jamie also worked on becoming a better artist according to that post.
"2017 was filled with some of the biggest challenges of my life, as well as some of the biggest blessings, so I made a choice to lay low this year to focus on truly becoming my best self as a person and as an artist. During that time, I continued working on my music and telling my story, which has created some of my most honest work and I CANT wait to share that with you all very soon."
"2018 is going to be filled with many milestones both personally and professionally," she had said. With first half of the promise being met, we are waiting anxiously for the second half, and as excited as we are about baby Ivery, we can't wait to hear Jamie's new music.
