James Heerdegan alleges son Freddie, 8, misses school as ex Christina Ricci keeps him on 'Yellowjackets' set for hours
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christina Ricci's ex-husband James Heerdegen accused the actress of having their little child lounge around for 12-14 hours on the set of 'Yellowjackets' instead of going to school. Heerdegen has returned to court in the never-ending divorce dispute, according to court documents acquired.
In his most recent filing, Heerdegen requested the court appoint a visitation monitor to keep an eye on Ricci. He also requests shared custody from the court. Heerdegen said in court papers that Ricci forced their son to participate in extracurricular activities he didn't want to, as reported by RadarOnline.

'Regularly travels to work with his mother'
Ricci's ex was reportedly upset with her for allegedly making the child miss school so they could go to work together. According to him, their son "regularly travels to work with his mother" in Canada for her program, 'Yellowjackets'. Heerdegen claimed that while their child should be in school, he is instead working 12 to 14-hour days. Ricci's ex-husband asserted the child was breaking the law by serving as his mother's assistant. Even worse, according to Heerdegen, Ricci has allegedly neglected to join him for court-mandated co-parenting classes. Ricci is still silent on the issue, as per reports.
How the former couple met
The 'Addams Family' actress and Heerdegen met for the first time in 2011 while working on the ABC television show 'Pan Am', which had a brief run. Heerdegen worked as a dolly grip operator while Ricci played the lead in the historical drama. The couple was engaged in February 2012, and rumors began to swirl around after Ricci was spotted wearing a ring in October, as reported by UsWeekly.
The couple's engagement was officially announced in February 2013, and they were married in New York City that October. The following year, the couple gave birth to a son Freddie, who would be their only child. In a March 2017 interview with Net-A-Porter's The Edit, Ricci spoke candidly about how marriage and parenthood altered her, as per reports.
Restraining order
Ricci received a restraining order against Heerdegen in June 2020. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, "Officers responded to a domestic battery radio call" at their Woodland Hills, California home. Later, "a report was completed," according to the LAPD. Heerdegen wasn't detained, but the new security precaution forbade communication between them, as reported by Sun.
