Youtuber James Charles, a make-up artiste and well-known social media celebrity who became the most-followed beauty influencer on YouTube, sent social media into a frenzy after he revealed his latest pictures in which he apparently went completely bald. Apart from his makeup videos and stylish looks, his fans are eager to know more about his dating life.

He had earlier revealed that he is "too busy" for a relationship right now and definitely too busy to swipe through potential matches, in a 2018 Interview with Entertainment Today. He further said, "My [dating app] accounts always get deleted because they think I'm catfishing. So rude!" he confessed, adding that he was on the exclusive dating app, Raya, but "got bored and deleted it."

"I don't have time. I just need a boyfriend like, right now. I don't want to sit here and scroll through people and message back and forth. Like, hello, no!" "I am sister single, always, unfortunately for me. But I am always trying, despite my thirsty comments and stuff," Charles confessed. "Those are a joke and light-hearted for a lot of the guys I talk to on a very daily basis, but you never know."

Several reports suggest that Charles had a huge crush on singer Shawn Mendes. Things got complicated, however, when Mendes started an Instagram Live, juggling balls and showing off for his fans. Charles who was watching the live got really impressed and reportedly turned on by Shawn's skills because he commented, "Can you juggle me like that?"

Shawn ended the Livestream pretty soon after James' comment popped up. It then came out that Shawn apparently talked about James at a recent album listening party. Twitter source @PopAlarms wrote that Shawn said, regarding James, "that dude is always commenting weird sh*t on my posts."

When James heard about this, he hopped on Twitter to make a statement, writing, "I’ve been supporting @shawnmendes since vine & am a fan like anyone else, & would never want to make anyone uncomfortable. Im upset, embarrassed, and sorry if he felt sexually harassed."

Later Charles shared a screenshot where Mendes messaged him "Hey James," Shawn wrote. "Sorry about all this, I've never said I don't like you or that you make me uncomfortable. Your comments actually make me laugh and I love them!" 

Charles was rumored to be dating Youtuber Grayson Dolan, after a kissing picture of the duo went viral on the internet. Even though Dolan denied dating rumors Charles tweeted, "I just stole a kiss, what are you going to do about it."

Last year, Charles' love life was once again in the news when the rumors of him dating gay singer Lil Nas X made their way to social media. The rumor started after Charles uploaded his latest video: a collaboration with the 'Old Town Road' singer. The video was met with much excitement from fans of both James' and Lil Nas' — it's already racked up almost 4 million views — but they did have to deal with some not-so-positive reactions online.

Lil Nas respectfully reminded Twitter users, "2 gay men can do things together without y'all sexualizing it."
