CLEVELAND, OHIO: Jake Paul has tweeted praise for fighters who take up fights on short notice. Jake Paul, who is a boxer himself, has been vocal about combat fighters and their rights. He has also asserted that fighters should get good pay.

Notably, Jake Paul's last boxing match was against UFC veteran Nate Diaz in August 2023, and which 'The Problem Child' won. Recently, Nate Diaz announced on Instagram that on December 15, there will be a rematch between the two.

Jake Paul's tweet for fighters

On October 22, Jake Paul tweeted, "Respect to all fighters who take fights on two weeks' notice". However, it should be noted that he did not mention the name of any particular fighter.

Notably, with just 12 days' notice, Alexander Volkanovski agreed to face Islam Makhachev in UFC 294 again when the latter's first opponent, Charles Oliveira, was pulled out of the match owing to a horrific eyebrow injury.

The majority of viewers believed that Makhachev's better cardio and preparation would give him the advantage in the subsequent rounds. But the fighter from Dagestan found a method to take advantage of Volkanovski's constant weakness to head kicks, and he won the bout in the first frame.

The bout ended the two fighters' competitive battle for good and stopped Volkanovski's ascent to the title of two-division champion.
