Jake Paul takes a dig at fans for criticizing him for his upcoming fight against Andre August: 'Make up your mind'
CLEVELAND, OHIO: Jake Paul, the social media star turned boxer, is growing weary of criticism over his choice of opponent for his upcoming fight. Set for December 15 in Orlando, Florida, Paul will face off against professional boxer Andre August.
This year, Paul has already secured a victory against Nate Diaz and faced a defeat by Tommy Fury, making the upcoming event his third match and the ninth in his boxing career. Despite this, Paul is frustrated with the backlash regarding August's relatively low profile in boxing.
Jake Paul takes a jibe at his critics
Paul said in a video on his YouTube channel, "Who, who, who? What are you f***ing owl. It's Andre August that's who, shut the f*** up. The switch-up is crazy, from 'fight a real boxer' to 'who is this guy? What is he doing this for?' Make up your mind."
He added, "But, you wanna know who I'm doing it for - me, my experience, to become world champion and doing it in front of everybody's eyeballs. I'm treating myself like a typical boxing prospect would do. And not that I should even give you little peons some answers, but here's some stats for you."
Paul went on to say that hardly many of the world's top boxers have faced a foe as difficult as August in their ninth match. "Pound-for-pound, the great Terence Crawford fought a 9-14 opponent in his ninth fight."
