Gigi Hadid calls Jake Paul 'irrelevant, ugly a**' after he disses Zayn Malik in drunken rant on social media
The controversial YouTube celebrity Jake Paul always seems to revel in his share of self-generated notoriety and monthly scandals. In yet another incident involving the young entertainment star, this time it seemed that Jake picked too big a target for his own good, namely, the former One Direction singer Zayn Malik and got his comeuppance swiftly.
It all started when Jake, Logan Paul's younger brother, dissed the uber-famous fan heartthrob Zayn on social media after feeling rather miffed following their less-than-satisfactory interaction on February 23. "Almost had to clap up zane from 1 direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude (sic)," Jake tweeted on Sunday night. "Zane ik you're reading this... stop being angry cause u came home alone to ur big a** hotel room hahaha."
Jake, who besides his YouTube videos, is also known for portraying Dirk Mann on Disney's 'Bizaardvark,' went on to sling more mud at the singer, saying that Zayn "started yelling and freaking out," angrily going "you wanna test me mate" and Jake concluded by saying that he felt bad for "childhood stars."
Although the bullying nature of his tweet should have been enough for people to ignore him, (Zayn certainly did) fans of Zayn were outraged at how he was talking about their beloved 'Pillowtalk' singer and the retribution doled to Jake was swift, severe and remarkable. Fans were telling him to "Shut the f*** up" and to "Just delete your twitter and YouTube and Instagram." And to make matters worse, Zayn's on-again, off-again supermodel girlfriend was on hand to deliver a killer blow to Jake's considerable ego. Barely two hours after Paul posted the offending tweets, Malik's supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid chipped in with her two cents.
"Lol cause he doesn't care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..? Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly a**. Go to bed(sic)," clapped back Hadid.
Following that, Jake Paul realized that he had incited a firestorm that he could no longer weather and deleted the insulting tweets. Attempting to hurriedly explain away his actions, he then posted "Someone needs to take my phone when I’m drunk because I am a f***ing idiot."
The Twitterverse wasn't particularly welcoming of Jake's feeble excuse with most followers in agreement that he needed his phone "taken away permanently." Some users were particularly harsh, saying "No, darling, you don’t need any alcohol, that’s just how you were born."
