Jake Paul issues stern warning to former opponent Nate Diaz: 'I'd kill that man'

CLEVELAND, OHIO: Speculation has circulated about a potential revival of the rivalry between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz in the Octagon, with Paul expressing a fierce determination to "kill" Diaz.
Their recent encounter in the ring in August concluded with the 26-year-old securing victory through a unanimous decision.
Despite initially gearing up to face Andre August on December 15, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has stirred speculation of a rematch. Jake Paul has extended an enticing offer of $10 million to the former UFC star, proposing a showdown in the cage.
Jake Paul threatens to 'kill' Nate Diaz
While Jake Paul is evidently dedicated to climbing the world rankings and aims to challenge individuals with extensive boxing backgrounds, he confidently stated that Nate Diaz would be incapable of defeating him in an MMA bout.
In remarks to The Sun, Paul purportedly stated, "Nate Diaz is a wise man; he avoids me in mixed martial arts. He can't take me down; I have better wrestling than him."
"Ohio Division-1 state wrestling experience. He clearly can't punch me. He punches so soft, like pillow hands. If we fought in MMA it would only be 15 minutes, which is half the amount of time we just fought. I'd up the punch count, up the pace, kill that man," he added.
Having joined the Professional Fighters League earlier this year, Paul has dropped hints about his willingness to step into the Octagon.
He expressed interest in a potential rematch with Diaz inside the cage, following his 10-round victory against the American in the boxing ring.
Meanwhile, the former UFC Lightweight champion, boasting a 22-13-0 record in mixed martial arts, has indicated his intention to continue pursuing a career in boxing.
Jake Paul vs Andre August
Jake Paul is presently preparing for his ninth professional boxing match. Notably, this time, Paul will face cruiserweight Andre August, as opposed to competing against a "crossover" opponent.
If the 35-year-old manages to pull off an upset against Paul on December 15, even though his name might not be well-known among boxing enthusiasts at the moment, that could quickly change.

With five knockout victories in his 10-1-1 professional record, Andre August is a formidable opponent.
Although he hasn't yet had a run at any major titles, he did defeat Santario Martin by unanimous decision in November 2019 to capture the Texas Combative Sports Program Light Heavyweight title.
