'No sir. It's not': Jaden Smith slammed for ‘That's how we do it' tweet after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock
The Internet got divided after Will Smith took a swing at Chris Rock after the latter cracked a joke on the actor’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith while interacting with the audience at the 94th edition of the Academy Awards. While the social media users debated over the impulsive action of Best Actor of the evening, his rapper son Jaden Smith took a firm stand for his father making Twitter users furious.
Jaden, who is very close to his father Will Smith, took to the microblogging site to share his valuable opinion right after the Oscars 2022 ended with the high-voltage drama. Though not clearly mentioning the Slapgate controversy, the ‘Icon’ hitmaker appeared to extend his support to Will Smith by saying what he did was right. The 23-year-old musician then shared a selfie of his and confessed that his father’s speech made him cry. However, he soon deleted the second post. For the unversed, Will Smith after winning the Best Actor Award for ‘King Richard’, apologized for his actions in the acceptance speech hoping that the Academy would invite him back.

‘And That’s How We Do It’
Jaden Smith got brutally dragged on the Internet after he tweeted in support of his father saying, “And That’s How We Do It.” The post quickly broke the Internet as Will Smith taking a swing at Chris Rock was already the talk of the town. Will Smith during his acceptance speech seemed to have a change of heart as he cooled down and apologize for the mishap.
“I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love and care. I want to apologize to the Academy, I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees”, said the award-winning star adding, “This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying for winning an award. It’s not about winning an award for me, it’s about being able to shine a light on all the people … and the entire cast and crew of King Richard and Venus and Serena and the entire Williams family.” He continued, “Art imitates life. I look like the crazy father, just like they said about Richard Williams! But, love will make you do crazy things” concluding, “Hoping the Academy invites me back!” Chris Rock had poked fun at Jada’s shaved head, Jada in reality suffers from an autoimmune disease. Chris joked that she could star in "G.I. Jane", which did not go down well with Will Smith. The latter then walked onto the stage, slapped Chris in the face, and walked back to his seat. He then yelled “Keep my wife's name out of your fu**ing mouth.” It is reported that Chris did not press charges on Will.

‘There is no excuse for physical assault’
Taking a dig at Jaden’s tweet, one joked, “In 2045 Jaden smith will win his first oscar for portraying his father in The Slap.” Whereas, another stated, “No sir. It's not. Chris was very wrong but so was Will. Let's acknowledge where we go wrong pliz. It's a No No. And am a huge fan. Any way I hope y'all solve this issue but it has overshadowed Will's win. I ain't happy at all but he deserved the award.” One user shared, “Jaden. Really? Will was in tears after he slapped Chris. And has to be consoled by Denzel and Tyler. That’s not how we do it. That’s not how we do at all.”
The next one tweeted, “And this is what's wrong with the world. Good modelling right there...not.” One added, “Other comedians that have hosted the Oscars in the past have made WAY WORSE jokes. There is no excuse for physical assault. Celebrity privilege is very real.” While, one individual concluded, “The normalization of violence within the family is common.”
