SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Florida college freshman Jack Sweeney whose Twitter account was suspended for tracking the real-time locations of Elon Musk's private jet commented that he does not consider the Twitter owner's legal move to sue him as an actual threat.

The collegegoer is keeping himself legally aware of the possible lawsuit that would be filed against him by the tech mogul as he has been “talking to a few people” regarding the laws involved, reports the New York Post.

The University of California student said that in the meantime, he will keep a check on any letters in the mail. “I do think it’s a bluff, but we’ll have to see,” Sweeney told the New York Post on December 15. “We’ll have to see if I get an official notice from anything,” he said.

When his @Elonjet account that tracked Musk's live locations was suspended, the sophomore labeled the Tesla CEO as a “full-on hypocrite." He told the New York Post that he has been processing Musk's tweet mentioning the litigation threat against Sweeney.

“To me, it’s weird timing. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but it’s really strange to me. We already know that Elon was mad about people sharing leaked messages already and he wanted the employees to sign something that they wouldn’t leak stuff,” Sweeney told the New York Post when he was asked whether he thinks Musk sought revenge against him.

On December 14, Musk took to Twitter to announce, "Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation. This includes posting links to sites with real-time location info." pointing out that anyone who posts links or content containing information of the live location of other individuals would be suspended.

In the Twitter thread, Musk posted a picture of a man wearing a black hoodie sitting inside a car and claimed that he was stalking his young son. "Anyone recognize this person or car," he tweeted.

“I don’t notify ahead of time before takeoff,” the freshman said as he explained that his @Elonjet handle only posts the location update after a plane has taken off.

MEAWW previously reported Sweeney was offered $5,000 by Musk to take down his private jet tracking account but the university student refused the offer and instead he requested an internship at Tesla. However, the 20-year-old was offered the car-hire company Autonomy's Tesla Model 3 by its CEO Scott Painter on a three-year contract instead of giving him an internship offer. Sweeney turned down the offers and refused to take down his @Elonjet account.

Along with the @Elonjet account, the billionaire also banned Sweeney's other flight-tracking handles that traced the private jets of Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and assorted Russian oligarchs, according to the New York Post.

Sweeney's personal account was also banned from Twitter and the jet-tracking teen was surprised at this move.
