MOSCOW, IDAHO: Nearly a month has passed since four University of Idaho students were killed in an off-campus house by an unknown killer(s). The grisly November 13 crime saw the deaths of Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves. All four victims were reportedly in their early 20s.

Though cops involved in the investigation are claiming to work relentlessly to nab the accused, no significant breakthrough has reportedly been reached yet. Also since last week, officers have been searching for “the occupant(s) of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra”, which was apparently seen close to the house at the time when the quadruple killings happened. In a statement, the City of Moscow Police Department shared, “Investigators believe the occupant(s) of this vehicle may have critical information to share regarding this case.

Now, the suspicious vehicle has given birth to a new wild theory into the terrifying case. As per a Reddit post, on November 12, hours before the early morning November 13 murders took place, University of Idaho’s football team – Idaho Vandals football – had hosted UC Davis Aggies football, the football team of the University of California.

The post also went on to suggest that “the football team from UC Davis would have brought plenty of outsiders from out-of-town, either from California or folks from Idaho or Washington who had ties to Northern California or UC Davis, like former alta matter or people who grew up near Davis/Sacramento…”

It continued, “Has there been any local speculation as to that being who might have driven the white Hyundai Elantra and/or murdered the four? It's not like it would take much reconnaissance for an out-of-towner to figure out where frat row in Moscow was located, or what off-campus housing would appear as having all-female residents.”

“...Or if the perpetrator had ties to The University of Idaho in Moscow, maybe he already knew that information and happened to be in town, with the desire to kill. Hell, it's not like murderers don't play sports, either. Dipping into a town for a day or two, knowing you'll be long gone from the area, probably opens up a world of possibilities for the murderous mind,” the post added.

The Reddit theory attracted a lot of comments as well from several people with one saying, “As someone who went to Davis and who’s parents live in Idaho - I don’t think many people went to that game. It’s a pretty far drive right before the holidays but nothing is impossible! Also Davis team isn’t great by any means we don’t really even go to the home games lol.”

Another one posted, “There was a lot going on in the area at the time of the murders. There was the big game, a concert, a family event at WSU in Pullman, and Sam's Weekend (a dry weekend honoring a student who died from alcohol poisoning). Lots of reasons for people who don't necessarily live in Moscow (or Pullman) to be there.” “It's an interesting take, but there were probably magnitudes more U of I fans who drove into Moscow from outside of Idaho than UC Davis fans there from the entire US. There might even have been more WSU fans in Moscow that night than UC Davis fans,” the third one added.
