NEWPORT COAST, CALIFORNIA: Vanessa Bryant is paying tribute to her ancestors while remembering her late spouse Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant on Dia de Los Muertos, (Day of the Dead). The 40-year-old philanthropist and businesswoman uploaded a video of herself posing in front of a painting of Kobe and Gianna while donning a magnificent handcrafted two-piece outfit.

The black ensemble had a translucent mesh top with floral accents, a tulle skirt, and a purple heart with the number "2" stitched on it. Vanessa accessorized with a gold tiara, a bunch of coordinated flowers, and the customary catrina (skull) makeup. She captioned one of her images, "Amor Eterno Dia De Los Muertos Kobe & Gigi."

Vanessa claims that Lily Martinez, a fashion designer, is the brains behind her flawless appearance as per Hola. “The #2 on my sacred heart for my Gigi, the golden basketball halo with 24 stars for my husband, the 6 butterflies on my flower crown representing my family… everything is so heartfelt and thought out,” she wrote. “The love and details you put into this do not go unnoticed.”

The photographer Kusha Alagband captured the moment for Bryant. “Far from being a morbid event, Day of Dead emphasizes remembrance of past lives and expresses celebration of the continuity of life. Local families will plan for Day of the Dead celebrations days, weeks, or perhaps even a whole year in advance. A focal point of the remembrance ritual is families creating ofrendas —altars with offerings to the deceased— which are set-up in homes or public spaces like parks or plazas, and also at local cemeteries where family members are buried. This is such a beautiful tradition… so glad I got to capture this day and share presence with this super woman.”

Fans took to social media to express their awe and support at Vanessa's tribute to her late husband and daughter. One user expressed her appreciation for the song used by Bryant in her Instagram reel, "I just saw vanessa bryant's reel and i'm crying at the club. that song does it to me man. grief sucks."  Another user echoed the sentiment saying, "Just watched Vanessa Bryant’s story of Kobe and Gigi for her día de Los muertos tribute. Can’t imagine the pain, but my god he strength. Amor Eterno is such a fitting song.
