While announcing 'American Idol' 2023, the official page shared the clip of Randy Jackson and Abdul making a surprise return in the 20th Season of the show. The announcement caption had written in it, "An #IdolReunion for the ages We’re ready to make more history in our 21st season." The show is yet to clarify what it means by "making history." Indeed it is yet to be confirmed whether Abdul will be making a comeback to the show.
However, Abdul recently opened up in an interview that years before she joined 'American Idol' she was confirmed by two different psychics that she was about to be featured in the particular show. The 60-year-old icon claimed, "I had been told by two different spiritual advisors and psychics that I'm going to end up doing a job - a show," as per Daily Mail. She added that her psychic said, "60 million albums are going to be nothing compared to a TV show that I'm going to be doing that is going to be a global success around the world."
These predictions were reportedly made three and two years before she was featured. Well, the predictions were so specific that she was also informed to be sitting in between fellow judges Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell. Abdul was told that the show will be a "talent show" and it "would be a 'juggernaut' that would 'transcend generations'." When Abdul signed in for 'American Idol' in 2002, she connected the dots, and her beliefs in psychics grew stronger.
