Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell says he is 'tired' after being put on hormone therapy following prostate cancer diagnosis
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Paul Burrell, 64, the former butler of Princess Diana, recently shared that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. While appearing on ITV's 'Lorraine' on Monday, January 30, the former royal servant talked about his illness, sharing that the surprise diagnosis has "strengthened his relationship with his two sons." Several internet users sent him thoughts and prayers after the revelation, while a few took the opportunity to mock Burrell, who had hit back at Prince Harry over claims that he "milked" the late Princess of Wales' death for money.
In his controversial memoir 'Spare', which quickly became the fastest-selling non-fiction book, Prince Harry mentioned how Burrell “made his blood boil” after the latter released a book about his time with the late Princess, as reported by The Sun. Burrell, who describes himself as Princess Diana's "best friend", had released a book titled 'A Royal Duty' in 2003. The book contained a series of private revelations, which prompted Princes Harry and William to release a statement accusing him of “a cold and overt betrayal”. Now, Harry in his memoir has accused Burrell of "milking her disappearance for money." Burrell clapped back, saying, "What I see now is an angry, petulant, privileged prince who is constantly blaming other people and not taking accountability on his part."

Is Paul Burrell OK?
During an appearance on Monday's edition of 'Lorraine', Burrell announced that he is battling prostate cancer and will be undergoing an operation next month to remove the affected prostate gland. Speaking about his condition, Burrell admitted that he is currently feeling "tired". "I’m tired, I’m on hormone therapy, it’s robbing me of my testosterone so my beard isn’t growing as it should, I’m tired, and I’m getting hot flashes," he said.
He elaborated on his treatment and said, "In the summer I had to go for a medical for a TV programme I was doing and their duty of care was to go for a full medical. And out of that was a high level of a chemical PSA produced by your prostate gland." Discussing his operation to remove the gland, Burrell said, "My father days are over. I don't want any more children, I've got two wonderful boys, that's fine."
'Get better soon, Paul'
As Burrell opened up about his diagnosis, several Twitter users prayed for his health. "@PaulBurrell_RVM Thinking of you and your family at this trying time," wrote a user.
