American country music singer and actress Jana Kramer has made some disturbing allegations about her estranged husband Mike Caussin. Kramer's petition to divorce Caussin reveals new details about her decision to leave her husband after six years of marriage -- including adultery.
Court documents show that Kramer listed her reason for separating as “inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences, and adultery,” allegedly following years of infidelity on Caussin’s part and lack of trust between the two. As per reports, the former couple had a rocky relationship and separated in 2016 after Caussin allegedly cheated on her.

Is Mike Caussin a sex addict?
The former American football tight end, one month after their relationship began, was accused by Kramer of cheating on her. While the two still moved forward and got married in May 2015, the couple announced that they were separating again in August 2016. It was then reported that Caussin had been unfaithful and that Kramer said there “were multiple affairs”.
As per reports, Caussin then began seeking treatment for sex addiction in 2016. The two renewed their wedding vows in December 2017. In 2019, Kramer and Caussin opened up about his journey with sex addiction, during an episode of their podcast ‘Whine Down with Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin’.
“This is a big day because what we’re going to talk about is something pretty deep,” Caussin said, explaining that it was going to be three years since he first sought treatment for his sex addiction. The retired NFL player explained he’s been “in the 12-step program of sex addiction” for almost three years, he went on to reveal that he’s “approaching a year [of] sobriety next week.”
Caussin said he checked himself into a 60-day inpatient treatment center in July 2016, after his wife gave him an “ultimatum”, adding, “I spent essentially 29 whole years thinking or living a different way and then all of a sudden you shock your system, you say no, you’re actually supposed to think of things this way. For people just to flip the switch immediately, that’s few and far between.”
Kramer then told audiences that her husband had “relapses” after seeking treatment. “Relapses, yes, but no sex outside the marriage,” Caussin said. “I’m not minimizing cheating… but there haven’t been other affairs.”
“Yes it wasn’t physical outside of the marriage but it’s something where the actions were basically,” Kramer said, adding, “We’re just basically happy that someone didn’t show up.” The ‘One Tree Hill’ actor further said, “I showed up at the hotel instead. If we really want to know.”
“Yeah, we’ve been through some s**t,” Caussin explained. “So that’s why even though I’ve been in the program coming on three years, I’m a year sober… I’m able to acknowledge who I am. This is a part of me and I’m comfortable with owning the fact that I’m a sex addict. It’s still hard to say that out loud, but knowing that I can possibly help other people, maybe we can save some more relationships.”
The divorce
Kramer announced the separation, saying, “I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.” A source close to the couple said that she “uncovered once again that he cheated on her,” which was the “final straw” in their marriage and led her to file the paperwork.
“It was the exact pattern that’s happened numerous times [before],” the insider said, adding this was the “last time she could forgive him.” A second source told Us Weekly that as of now, Caussin is “out of the house.”
The court documents revealed that the estranged couple had a postnuptial agreement. Kramer, per the documents, wants to share custody of the pair’s daughter Jolie, 5, and son Jace, 2. She is also seeking alimony and asking Caussin to cover her legal fees amid their divorce.
