Who is Les Gold?
Les resides in Detroit, Michigan, and began working with his father at his pawnshop when he was just seven. The reality star later opened American Jewelry and Loan in 1978. However, the pawnshop owner got a big break in 2010 when TruTV premiered the reality show, 'Hardcore Pawn.' For the unversed, the show followed Les', his family, and his employees as they navigate the pawnshop. Soon after Les rose to fame, he penned a book titled 'For What It's Worth: Business Wisdom from a Pawnbroker.' Les has been married to Lilli Gold since 1975 and shares a daughter, Ashley, and a son, Seth. Les' pawnshop has become a tourist destination as his both children continue his father's business. Seth works as the general manager of Les' shop and handles all marketing. Meanwhile, Les' daughter Ashley is the shop's assistant manager.
