Social media buzz about Grimes and Noah Centineo intensified after podcaster Michaela Okland claimed they were spotted kissing at an Olive Garden restaurant

Elon Musk and Grimes' breakup came as a shock to everyone. Now, the Internet has gone wild with rumors around the latter allegedly kissing voice actor and model Noah Centineo at a restaurant.

Musk confirmed last week that he and Grimes were "semi-separated" after dating for three years. The couple shares son X Æ A-XII Musk. The SpaceX founder cited his work schedule as the reason for parting ways with the songstress, 33, but rumors on social media indicated that there was something going on between Grimes and Centineo at Olive Garden. The speculation followed an unfounded claim that Grimes had "hooked up" with a Hollywood actor, with Centineo's name thrown into the mix of possible partners.

The social media buzz intensified after a podcaster by the name of Michaela Okland falsely claimed that Grimes and Centineo were spotted kissing at the restaurant. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN GRIMES CHEATED ON ELON MUSK WITH NOAH CENTINEO????" one Twitter user wrote.

"I struggle to believe Noah Centineo could ever understand the concept of grimes let alone be in her orbit," another added. "Noah Centineo ending Grimes and Elon's relationship is literally the most insane version of how that could have turned out. officially we’ve entered the era where existing is dadaist," a comment read. "Woah! Apparently, Elon Musk is sending out NDA’s to cover for grimes making out with Noah Centineo, I’m super confused," another chimed in.

Okland faced backlash when she later confirmed in another post that she lied about the kissing incident and apologized for spreading false information about the former couple. Neither Musk nor Grimes have commented on the rumors.

“I want to come on here and say that I lied about Noah Centineo and Grimes kissing at Olive Garden," Okland wrote. "I definitely made that up and didn’t see this. I also want people to know that I’m not just releasing this statement because Elon Musk threatened me or something. Elon Musk is a cool human guy and he did not threaten me into releasing this statement. Grimes and Noa are NOT in love and they do not frequent the Newport Beach olive Garden to make out. Thanks,” Okland added. 

Nonetheless, Okland faced backlash for conjuring rumors about Grimes and Centineo considering the singer just recently broke up with Musk. “You’re just jealous because she has a millionaire who is very respectful and is very respected. Leave them alone!” one charged. “Wanted to make sure everyone here knew they were part of a joke/social experiment. A verified account tweeted a lie & said everyone will believe it anyway… and she was right. Lmao, there are now articles written bout Noah and grimes & this woman just made it up for lulz. Yikes,” another added.
