BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer and former kickboxing champion, recently took to Twitter to express his opinions on religious beliefs. As he's infamous for expressing contentious views, his tweet soon started sparking speculation, with some bringing up his previous identification of being an atheist.

Tate, who's currently under house arrest in Romania after being charged with sexual assault, human trafficking, and money laundering addressed the rumors and defended his position on religious beliefs. Continue reading to delve deeper into the influencer's perspective on the concept of God.

'The world needs God'

In his regular tweets, Tate covers a wide range of topics, including addressing accusations, sharing personal truths, and providing glimpses into his daily life. Recently, he took to Twitter to discuss his religious beliefs, emphasizing the importance of God in the world, writing, "The world needs God." He attached a video with the tweet where Tate is seen expressing his perspectives on God and the power associated with such belief.

Tate first addressed the rumors surrounding his religious stance, clarifying, "I said I was an atheist. I always still had some belief in a higher power." He then shared the reasons that led to his transformation into a religious man, stating, "I now identify myself as a religious man because in the last three to four years, I may not have seen much of God, but I've seen plenty of the Devil. And if one exists, the other must exist, I've seen pure evil play out in front of us. And for that reason, I truly believe the world needs God."

Tate went on to discuss the challenges faced by humanity, asserting, "I believe the trouble we're in today, whether it's the God of Islam or Christianity, we need some kind of intervention, whether it's men who believe in God standing up in unison, that's a form of God in and of itself. God as an idea can be powerful, let alone a person in the sky, right?" He emphatically stated his point, highlighting the necessity of God in society, saying, "My point is that God is now needed in society. I do not believe in things that take power from me. If I believe that we need God, then I believe in God." From the content of the video and the accompanying tweet, it becomes evident that Tate does not identify as an atheist, and he now values the belief in God. At the end of the video, he seems to have embraced the practices and rituals of Muslim worship in his spiritual journey.

'You can't believe in one thing and everything all at once'

Once Tate posted the tweet accompanying the video, his followers and critics started to share their opinions on the topic of God and religious belief. One stated, "The devil is not an equal and opposite force to God. God created the devil and could decimate him in a fraction of a second." Another wrote, "Oh Tate, a house divided cannot stand. You can't believe in one thing and everything all at once. You are restless. The Holy Spirit has used recent events to stir within you questions and the seeking of answers. You're torn, but your heart knows the truth. It always has." "In a chaotic world, finding solace in spirituality can bring us hope, guidance, and a sense of purpose. Embrace the power of faith and let it light your path," wrote a believer who seems to agree with Tate's notions. "The world need #crypto lol," jokingly wrote a user who certainly believes in the power of cryptocurrency.
