Irene Bedard: Voice of Disney's 'Pocahontas' ARRESTED for disorderly conduct two years after she was arrested twice in 3 days
COLUMBUS, OHIO: The Disney star who voiced 'Pocahontas' in the 1996 animated movie of the same name was arrested on Friday, August 19, 2022. Irene Bedard, 55, was taken into custody by law enforcement in Green County, Ohio, on Friday and she was then booked and charged with disorderly conduct. Bedard was released on Sunday, August, 21. However, she has an arraignment hearing scheduled for August, 29. In November 2020, Bedard was arrested twice in three days.
The voiceover star was taken into custody on Friday after police received a phone call to conduct a welfare check for a woman who had passed out in the bushes on a residential street, as reported by TMZ. According to officers, when they arrived at the scene, they discovered Irene Bedard in a nearby parking lot, where she displayed a wide range of emotions, including talking calmly to being upset and crying. A woman named Sheila informed the police of a person they could contact on Bedard’s behalf, which prompted Bedard to scream as she did not want the other person to be involved, before running away and knocking over a table that was sitting on the sidewalk.

Cops on the scene eventually backed Bedard, 55, against a large glass window, while she yelled at them, forcing them to try to grab her wrists out of fear that she would shatter the window. The officers reportedly managed to restrain Bedard with handcuffs as she was trying to get away out of an officer's grip and booked her in Greene County Jail.
Police said that they had confirmed that Bedard had no one to call to care for her and told her that she was under arrest before she pulled away from the officer's arrest. Law enforcement claimed that it did not end there as the Disney star then became dead weight as they were walking her to the police cruiser and she had to be held up.
In late 2020, Bedard was arrested twice in three days. Police first booked her for domestic violence, assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and criminal damage to the police cruiser after she caused a massive ruckus at her ex-husband’s house. A few days later, she was arrested again at a hotel where she was allegedly harassing the front desk attendant. According to the report, Bedard “appeared to be intoxicated.” She was booked for disorderly conduct.
