Spoilers for 'Invasion' Episode 4 - "The King Is Dead"

The first three episodes of 'Invasion' introduced us to the main characters from whose point of view we will see the alien invasion unfold. One of them is the Malik family consisting of father Ahmed (Firas Nassar), mother Aneesha (Golshifteh Farahani), daughter Sarah (Tara Moayedi), and son Luke (Azhy Robertson).

In last week's episode, we saw Luke yelling to make it stop as he hears loud sounds in his ears and winces in pain. Nobody else could hear anything with this unexplainable phenomenon remaining a mystery as Luke asks if he could hear them and that it said something. He was also not afflicted with nose bleeds like the rest of the children in school as we saw him also question the reason behind it. Episode 4 may have just given us a hint as to why he developed the special senses that no one seems to have. Read on to know what happened in the fourth episode of 'Invasion' and how we think it affects Luke.

Did Luke find a piece of a spaceship?

Episode 4 showed the Malik family in the motel as the city suffers power outages with evacuations being carried out. The kids Luke and Sarah are in the bathroom packing their toiletries as they chat about their parents fighting and possibly divorcing. We see Sarah pull out a shiny black piece of metal from Luke's backpack as she asks what it is. Luke gets defensive and immediately snatches it back saying, "It's mine, I found it". When Sarah asks about where he found it, he angrily replies, " I just found it and its mine so don't ever touch it ".

The piece of metal looked awfully like it had broken off from a larger object. We suspect that it's a part of a spaceship or some foreign object. What we can definitely say is that it is not from around here with the whole thing being fishy. We also don't know how long Luke has had it and where did he find it. The young boy always has his backpack on him which holds the strange piece of metal. The foreign object could very possibly be the reason he hears the loud unexplainable sounds in his ears, which others cant hear and was not affected like the rest of the kids. Watch the next episode to find out what happens ahead.

'Invasion' is now streaming on Apple TV+ with new episodes released every Friday.
