‘My condition is classified as gigantomastia’: Intersex teacher Kayla Lemieux claims size Z breasts ‘are real’, denies dressing as man
ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA: Kayla Lemieux, who made news for her appearance at the school, recently retaliated in reaction to a neighbor's assertion that she wears "prosthetic breasts" and dresses like a man. Lemieux asserts that she was born "intersex" and that her massive breasts are "real."
"I'm not wearing prosthetic breasts. These are real," Lemieux, a Canadian, stated on Saturday, February 18 in an interview with New York Post. She even clarified that she is not "transgender" but rather "intersex" by birth. "My condition is classified as gigantomastia, which can also be referred to as macromastia or breast hypertrophy," Lemieux stated, despite the fact that she had never obtained a formal medical diagnosis. "It's rare, there's no doubt about it," Lemieux added. "It affects women on a very rare basis, but in my case, I believe — and my doctor thinks — because I have XX chromosomes as well, that has something to do with it, and hormone sensitivity to estrogen has caused it."

'This is how I look'
Lemieux's apartment complex resident claimed to have seen her walking around town disguised as a male, as reported previously. The resident said, "He wears prosthetic breasts extremely infrequently. He puts the breasts on to teach, occasionally when he goes for a walk or when the cops visit."
In response to the resident's accusations, Lemieux stated, "I can't tell you who that is because I don't want to bring anyone else into this. I don't want that person being thrown all over the media, but it wasn't me. This is who I am. This is how I look. You've been talking to people in my building but what they're telling you is harsh and untrue. I am always going out looking the way I am."
Lemieux replied when asked if she ever appeared differently in public, "I guess if I took my wig off or took my makeup off. But I would still have breasts. You can't hide them. People online making comments are basically body-shaming." Regarding her sexuality, she said, "I identify as a woman. Female. She/her."
Lemieux added, "My whole life, I've been identifying as male. I've been looking like a male. When I decided to embrace this other side of me around age 39, this presented itself. Intersex people can have a mixture of those two different sets of chromosomes. It can be something they don't even know about. It can show up in other physical attributes at birth so it can be more obvious or less obvious, depending on the person."
'NOT appropriate for a classroom'
On Twitter, many people have expressed their reactions to Lemieux's sexuality disclosure, with one person writing, "As a member of the LGBTQ community it is very unfortunate that she has been harassed with insults and threats. Anyone with gigantomastia shouldn't be discriminated, but I wonder if she might get breast reduction surgery due to the controversy or continue on without any concern."
Lemieux's claims were challenged by a second individual who wrote, "How does she know she has that disease she claims to have if she has not been formally diagnosed? And if they are real, why does she wear type fittng tops that empasize her breasts and show her nipples? Definately NOT appropriate for a classroom!"

Another, labeling this situation "insane," wrote, "Back in the day nut cases like this would be laughed into oblivion. Today we allow them to teach children. Beyond insane." This other person who favors leaving the woman alone wrote, "Its very simple. The woke rules state that self ID means that we must take any declaration of identity as totally serious. So leave the lady alone."
"I do not care if she was born a woman or not. Her attire is inappropriate for an educator. Fully understand, I taught at a university where WE HAD A DRESS CODE!!!! If any woman (regardless of biological or trans) wore a short skirt, you could be written up, suspended, etc," another individual, who thinks that Lemieux's wardrobe is "inappropriate," wrote.
