ONTARIO, CANADA: The Halton District School Board has decided to prohibit students from clicking photos or videos of a controversial trans teacher at a school in Canada. Taking pictures or recordings of Oakville Trafalgar High School teacher, Kayla Lemieux, who is frequently spotted at the school sporting huge prosthetic breasts and a blonde wig, is now banned. Students have been "threatened with suspension" as per the new decision of the Halton School District Board.

But some did it nonetheless, taking the chance to record videos. The teacher, who changed her first name from Kerry to Kayla, is shown in a video taken last Thursday at Dr Frank J Hayden Secondary School in Burlington walking along a school hallway with the aid of crutches and sporting a boot-cast on her right foot, reported the New York Post.

Kayla Lemieux: Students defend trans teacher with huge fake breasts, say she should be allowed to ‘express herself’

Recently, Lemieux gained notoriety after pictures of her skydiving with a pornstar went viral, as per Daily Mail. Despite the fact that the person on the dive claimed there were no apparent or reported injuries after the landing, Lemieux has been prohibited from using the shop classroom at Oakville Trafalgar High School (OTHS) due to a foot injury for "safety reasons." Some industrial arts educators have expressed concern over previous films of Lemieux because of the teacher's huge breasts and a chain around her neck, which they claim could be dangerous around machines.

Lemieux has not been teaching at OTHS for weeks, but she was recently caught on camera working as a substitute teacher at Abbey Park High School in Oakville and this week at Hayden, as per Daily Mail. According to eyewitnesses, both schools' properties were home to Halton Regional Police vehicles.

“Lemieux gets a personal escort (and) protection everywhere he goes,” said one parent. Police have legitimately been worried about safeguarding staff and students as a result of a number of bomb threats. The board has decided to respect Lemieux's decision to identify as a woman and dress accordingly. Additionally, they haven't responded to a TikTok video that was published and showed  Lemieux ostensibly seated next to an unidentified student who was vaping in a classroom, which is also against board policy, reported The Toronto Sun.

The director of education, the head of the school board, and the neighborhood principals all appear to be at a loss about how to handle Lemieux. They have prioritized defending her rights amid all the criticism and backlash. Lemieux has not responded to requests for comment, and the board has not provided much information.

“As you’re aware, we can’t comment on HR matters,” said school board spokesperson Heather Francey. "I can tell you that the HDSB does have a 'Responsible Use Procedures for Information and Communications Technology' policy," Francey said of students or staff taking photos on school premises. “It is routine practice for students to obtain permission of any subject at any time (including other students, staff or any person) before capturing, using and transmitting images or video. This policy helps guide that standard courtesy across our board.”
