Internet trolls Usher as R&B singer nearly falls on skate during 'sweaty' Super Bowl Halftime performance

Usher rolled between will.i.am's legs as the song was coming to a conclusion, appearing to catch himself before falling to the ground

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Usher delivered a hit-packed halftime concert at the Super Bowl on February 11, featuring special guests like will.i.am, Alicia Keys, and Ludacris. However, what truly captivated viewers was Usher, drenched in his own sweat. A pre-performance message sarcastically warned spectators of "singing, dancing, sweating, gyrating, and possible relationship issues." It turned out to be a success on all fronts, as Usher's perspiration nearly caused him to stumble on stage – all while wearing skates!

Usher took the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, adorned in all-white attire and accompanied by a lively group of dancers. He kicked off the performance with one of his most renowned songs, "Caught Up," initiating a spectacular showcase that not only spotlighted Usher's impressive dance skills but also delved into his extensive back catalog.

However, on social media platform X, fans had other concerns, as they asked, "Why did Usher sweat more than any if the players so far." One user chimed in, "Usher needs a church rag, so he can wipe the sweat out his eyes. Where are the ushers?" 

One user also tweeted, "Usher needs a rag or something sweat definitely got in his eyes." A fourth fan wrote, "Can someone hand usher a rag please that poor man is squinting because of his sweat. lol great performance tho." 

One user quipped, "Usher working up more of a sweat than any of the Chiefs have been tonight." "I’m feeling second-hand embarrassment for uh the amount of sweat coming off of Usher’s face and how it’s increasingly getting worse," added another. 

Special guests join Usher during the Super Bowl Halftime act

Usher was not alone on his special night. Alicia Keys made a stunning appearance as a special guest during the halftime act, starting with her single 'If I Ain't Got You' before seamlessly transitioning into their 2004 duet 'My Boo.' H.E.R. also joined forces with Usher, showcasing her musical prowess by playing a guitar solo on his hit song 'Burn,' as well as 'Bad Girl.'

Usher, adding a dynamic element, glided onto the stage on roller skates while delivering his chart-topping single 'OMG' alongside will.i.am. Later in the performance, Lil Jon teamed up with rapper Ludacris on stage, igniting the audience with renditions of 'Turn Down for What' and the energetic crowd-pleaser 'Yeah!'

Usher narrowly avoided a major TV blunder during his halftime show performance at this year's Super Bowl. The R&B artist treated the audience to renditions of many of his popular songs.  Midway through his star-studded performance, Usher brought out will.i.am to join him in singing their collaborative track 'OMG.' will.i.am appeared in a dazzling blue costume on roller skates, surrounded by supporting dancers.

However, as the song concluded, Usher rolled between will.i.am's knees and seemed on the brink of falling to the ground. Swiftly recovering, he managed to catch himself, shrugged off the near-miss, spun around on his skates, and seamlessly resumed his act.

Although it was Reba's debut Super Bowl performance, she revealed to CBS Mornings that singing the national anthem had been a part of her repertoire for decades, expressing a sense of ease in preparing for the prestigious event.

Approximately 3 1/2 hours before kickoff on Super Bowl Sunday, Reba McEntire made her entrance into Allegiant Stadium. She was clad in a large gray faux fur coat, holding hands with her companion, Rex Linn. Against the backdrop of passing planes above Allegiant Stadium, a group of flag-bearing service personnel stood behind Reba as they collectively performed the national anthem.
