‘Headlining in everyone’s mind’: Internet left divided after Bad Bunny disses Harry Styles at Coachella
INDIO, CALIFONIA: Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny reportedly shaded pop star Harry Styles during his performance at the Coachella music festival on Friday, April 14. While belting out the song ‘El Apagon', from his latest album, ‘Un Verano Sin Ti,’ the rapper displayed an old tweet on a screen behind him. The tweet screenshot reads, "goodnight benito [Bad Bunny] could do as it was but harry could never do el apagon," seemingly drawing a comparison between the two stars and suggesting that while Bunny can perform Styles’ hit song ‘As It Was’, the latter can never sing ‘El Apagon’.
Bunny performed his headlining set in a two-hour show featuring special guests like Jhayco, Jowell & Randy, Nengo Flow, and Post Malone, the Daily Mail reported. The rapper’s shade towards Styles came a few months after he reportedly attended the One Direction alum’s solo concert and watched him perform on tour. Back in February, Styles beat Bunny at the 2023 Grammy Awards to win Album of the Year. In addition to Bad Bunny, Styles also left behind ABBA, Adele, Beyonce, Brandi Carlile, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, and Mary J Blige to win the biggest award of the night.

‘Guess where he was a few months ago’
The internet was left divided with Bad Bunny’s shade towards Styles. “This year Harry is not headlining Coachella but he's headlining in everyone's mind,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “Guess where he was a few months ago tho!” one user asked in reference to the rapper attending Styles’ concert. “mind you he was at harry's show and harry has never been to a bad bunny show,” another added.
One user said, “Imagine getting an opportunity to make history as an artist and then choosing to use that moment to throw shade at another artist who literally just minds his business... Disappointing.” While another added, “why would you use such a big moment to shade an artist who’s never done ANYTHING bad to you.”
Meanwhile, some fans also came out in Bunny’s support. One commented, “Lmao bad bunny throwing shade at Harry styles! But did he lie??? Not one bit.” “bad bunny shading harry styles on the main stage that’s enough for me to stan,” another stated.

Kendall Jenner supported Bad Bunny’s headlining set at Coachella
Recent rumors have suggested that Harry Styles’ ex-girlfriend Kendall Jenner is allegedly dating Bad Bunny, the Daily Mail noted. The supermodel also attended the Coachella Music Festival to support the rapper’s headlining set. She reportedly paired a denim mini skirt with a black leather jacket and was joined by her sister Kylie Jenner and friend Hailey Bieber, the publication reported.
At one point, Bad Bunny also reflected on the speculation about his personal life and told fans that not everything they read is true, the outlet noted. “I wanted to say that, humbly, people sometimes think, actually think that they know the life of famous people. But it’s not true, they don’t know anything,” he said. “They don’t know what we feel, what we think. They don’t know how we really live, social life. In common places we say a lot of things, but you can’t know the reality of what a heart feels. And for this reason, what I don’t say, don’t believe it,” the rapper shared.
