LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Sandoval revealed on Thursday, May 4, during his gig in Long Island, New York that he is on a path of sobriety. Fans sitting in the audience seemed to have cheered the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star’s announcement, as he is still reeling under the criticism for his cheating on his girlfriend of six years, Ariana Madix.

During the concert, the frontman of the band Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras revealed to the audience, “Y’all know it’s been one month since I had my last drink of alcohol.” The Bravo star further added, “I’m just taking a little break for a second but, yeah, these are Heineken Zeros,” before sipping the non-alcoholic beer.

According to the video obtained by TMZ, as the ‘Schwartz & Sandy's’ owner shared the insight, fans, who were paltry in number in the theater, cheered and supported the reality TV star.

It was reported that Tom Sandoval played to a very thin crowd during Thursday’s concert. Even though the theater gave a last-minute deal of 2-for-1 as they sent out emails saying, “Bring a friend on us with our 2 for 1 ticket special,” it was not enough to fill the theater, reports Page Six.

After his very public split with Ariana Madix in March, fans seemed to have boycotted Sandoval. As Madix got to see clippings of his private moments with pageant queen and ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Raquel Leviss, she understood that she was being cheated on, which caused a social media outrage with Madix loyalists slamming Sandoval for his infidelity. Since then the affair has been termed as ‘Scandoval’ and has also become the theme for Season 10 of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ which airs every Wednesday on Bravo.

After the public split, Ariana Madix moved on with her personal trainer, Daniel Wai, whom she was seen kissing at Coachella. Since then, they have made quite a few public appearances.

'Quit alcohol maybe but not sober'

Fans were, however, not so convinced of his sobriety, as one social media user remarked, "The fact that his band “tours” is wild to me. He pays the band so he must be doing this for free. I do not believe he’s sober. Quit alcohol maybe but not sober." Another questioned his truthfulness by chiming in, "Is this the same person who looked straight in a camera with a demonic laugh and said he wasn't having an affair with Raquel? You expect anyone to believe you besides Raquel." Another outright said that he is lying, "Lmfao at this point another lie can't do any more harm."

One fan cheered the TomTom owner by saying, "So Tom Sandoval announced he’s been sober for one month from Alcohol .. I think that’s awesome! But people on instagram are still bashes him. They will never be happy and that shows how miserable people really are . So sad . #Sandoval good job ."
