LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It's been almost six weeks since Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss' scandal came to the surface. Tom recently appeared on Howie Mandel's podcast, confessing how the scandal started, how it affected him, and whether he is still involved with Raquel. The cover band frontman confronted that after so many weeks he finally got time to "start to reflect on the situation."
'Vanderpump Rules' star Tom accepted that he and Ariana started to "lack intimacy" and started being more like a "roommate" or "best friend." "Our communication was not great," claimed Tom. And, amid the mid-life crisis at the age of 40, he met Raquel. Tom claims Raquel is beautiful, witty, and smart, indeed, having all the qualities that Tom wanted from a person at the moment. While in a relationship with Ariana, Tom started building a connection with Raquel. He Facetimed her all the time, met her, and started getting closer to each other with each passing day. Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss are not putting a 'label' on their relationship
Giving an update on where he and Raquel stands, Tom says in the podcast that they are "not putting a label on it." He added, "We're just kind of taking a break." When asked by the host Howie whether he and Raquel are "friends with benefits" the bar owner denied currently having a physical relationship with Raquel. Tom claimed, "Not right now." On the other hand, according to Page Six's report, Raquel confessed last month that she "doesn't know" where he and Tom's relationship is going to be. The former beauty pageant claimed, "We’re just kind of trying to make amends, hear everybody out and see where it goes." Raquel also confirmed not putting any label on their affair. However, Raquel has previously confessed to having "sincere and loving" feelings towards Tom but at the moment Raquel "needs to heal."
Tom Sandoval recalls the night he crossed the line
Raquel and Tom started getting closer to each other when Tom was at the "worst time" of his life. However, before anything physical sparked between the two they became good friends. Tom confessed, "We literally talked 'till the sun came up." The star recalled the night when he and Raquel kissed each other, saying it occurred shortly after the "guys' night." "And then we were back at my house, just talking. I'm locked out of my house. We just kissed. It was magnetic. We were talking, moving closer, and as we were talking, as time went on, we would just start talking closer and closer, and then all of a sudden, we're kissing," Tom explained the whole situation. He claimed to have "felt something he hasn't felt in a long time." He further called his and Raquel's relationship to be "magnetic."
Tom Sandoval accused Ariana Madix of turning a 'blind eye'
Noticing that things were falling apart between him and Ariana's almost nine-year-long relationship, Tom got a couple of therapy sessions. However, this did not turn the tables for the couple. By that time, Tom and Raquel were very good friends, however, their relationship was never suspected from Ariana's side. Tom said in the podcast, "She had heard things and seen things about Raquel but was like very much turning a blind eye or just trusting me, I guess." Tom further explained to Howie how distant he and Ariana became in their relationship over the past years. He said, "Later part of our relationship I was seeing Raquel as often as I could, which I know that sounds horrible, and Facetiming her all the time and like Ariana just really like didn't even notice because that's just how to separate our lives were.' Tom further explained that he and Ariana had totally different personalities as well. Where Tom was much of a social person in the relationship, Ariana was like a person who wished to stay in bed all day long.
Later in the podcast, Tom explained that he "does not want to create a negative environment." He accepted to stay in therapy, learn from the situation, and never repeat it again.
