Internet sides with 'The Prison Confession' subject Gypsy Rose Blanchard as she regret's killing her mom Claudine
CHILLICOTHE, MISSOURI: Gypsy Rose Blanchard had spent eight years in prison for plotting to kill her mother Claudine Blanchard also called Dee Dee.
She was finally released from prison on Thursday, December 28 after getting parole in September 2023.
She has given ample interviews in her life which are available in documentary format and television shows such as 'Mommy Dead and Dearest' and 'The Act'.
The now 32-year-old was sentenced to ten years in prison in July 2016 after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
Gypsy's ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn is serving a life sentence for fatally stabbing Dee Dee.
Unable to take in all the medical abuses and mental trauma that she was subjected to by her mother Dee Dee, she decided to kill her with Nicholas in June 2015.
Ahead of her release, she said that she "regrets" her mother's murder "every single day."
However, the internet seems to side with her after her release from prison.
They wrote slamming her mother, "Honesty, the mom deserved it!" and " No regrets"
Others sympathized with her condition and said "She should have been given help instead of being imprisoned", "Big G! Rooting for you girl" and "The world supports you Gypsy".
Some even blamed her boyfriend for the murder, "Well her boyfriend was the main culprit."
Why did Gypsy Rose Blanchard kill her mother?
The case of Clauddine better known as Dee Dee and Gypsy Rose Blanchard has gone down in American history as one of the most recognized cases of suspected Munchausen by Proxy.
This psychological disorder causes a caregiver to engage in attention-seeking behavior by making the person under their care ill or making people believe that they are ill.
Dee Dee had this disorder and made Gypsy believe that she was wheelchair-bound, unable to eat or even sit properly.
This medical abuse began when Gypsy was just eight years old and she mentioned that her daughter was diagnosed with leukemia and muscle dystrophy.
Gypsy was tired of her mother forcing her to feel sick thus she made a plan with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn to escape.
Dee Dee was stabbed to death in 2015. Following the murder, Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Who is Gypsy Rose Blanchard's husband?
Gypsy and Ryan Scott Anderson tied the knot in Livingston County, Missouri on June 27, 2022.
It is not clear how the couple met. The marriage certificate was recorded on July 21, 2022.
However, the couple sparked split rumors in November 2022 when Gypsy wrote to her family to inform them that she was filing for an annulment.
However, Gypsy walked back her decision and proudly confirmed she was married in April 2023 responding to a message she received via Bachelorette alum Josh Seiter.
Josh was sent a pretty harsh email by Gypsy who told him to not spread lies about her. Josh posted that on social media, where Ryan even threatened him.
It is reported that Gypsy and Ryan are still together.

Gypsy met Nicholas P Godejohn on a Christian dating website and they soon started dating each other.
Gypsy cleared to him that she is wheelchair bound and cannot walk to which Nicholas said that it won't be a problem.
In 2015, they finally went on a movie date in Springfield, Gypsy thought her mother would approve of Nicholas, but unfortunately, she didn't.
Thus the next time Nicholas came to town they devised a plan to kill Gypsy's mother.
Gypsy testified for the defense at Nicholas' 2018 trial and said that he was a troubled young man who believed he was saving his girlfriend.
However, under cross-examination, she testified that he was dominant.
Nicholas was thus found guilty of first-degree murder. He's currently serving life in prison, the mandatory minimum sentence for the crime, and a concurrent 25 years of armed criminal action.
