Internet divided as Andrew Tate says only 'losers' get depression
BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate aka 'Top G' or Cobra Tate is a self-proclaimed influencer known for his controversial and misogynistic views. Former kickboxer turned influencer stirred up a major controversy by claiming that depression is for "losers."
However, despite all his polarizing opinions, provocative views and outspoken nature, Tate has amassed a substantial following on various social media platforms.
Andrew Tate opens about depression
Tate who has been accused for rape and human trafficking, told his followers on how to stop being depressed. In a video shared by The Real world on X (previously known as Twitter), Tate said, "I'd be depressed if I was a f**king nerd so how would I stop myself being a nerd?"
Cobra Tate added in a form of answer, "Hard work. You have to go through it and as a man you are supposed to go through pain. You are supposed to feel bit sad. The reason you feel depressed — God has instilled that inside of you to warn you that you are f**king loser."
Top G asserted, "If you were Top G, u wouldn't be depressed. So why are you depressed in the first place? Cuz you haven't got what you want. So are you gonna go and get it or you're gonna sit there and cry."

Fans react to Tate's take on depression
At the time of writing, the tweet on X had more than 300k views and several comments. Even Andrew reposted the video on his Twitter account, where he has amassed 8 million followers.
A user wrote, "hey Andrew I just wanted to reach out and say how much you have improved my life just from words I am a 14 year old in high school and I've been putting in the work I have been improving myself and just from the words that you have put into my head I have transformed myself."
The second user wrote, "Andrew : "I feel depressed now. So I will pretend that everybody are depressed but not me."
