'Why won’t her parents do a test?': Internet confused as Julia Wandelt's family claims she's not Madeleine McCann but refuse to take DNA test
LONDON, ENGLAND: The family of Julia Wandelt, 21, claiming to be Madeleine McCann, who has been missing since May 3, 2007, is coming out with important revelations. Wandelt's family has recently objected to appearing for a DNA Test. However, they have now claimed that she is clearly not McCann.
"It is obvious to us as a family that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and stepdaughter," said the family in an official statement. They also claimed that they have Julia's birth certificate, several hospital discharge documents, as well as many pictures of her childhood. Meanwhile, Wandelt is also known as Julia Faustyna and Julia Wendell. She gained worldwide attention after she started posting on her Instagram page comparing herself to McCann who went missing when she was three while on holiday with her parents.

What are the claims of Julia Wandelt's family?
The 21-year-old had claimed earlier that she cannot remember a lot from her childhood. This is because she was a victim of severe sexual abuse by a German pedophile and was diagnosed with post-traumatic amnesia. However, her family now claims, "Numerous therapies, medications, psychologists and psychiatrists were provided for Julia. She was not left alone. She refuses treatment, does not take medication regularly. She also did not take advantage of the possibility of treatment at a very good centre in Poland, which agreed to accept her," as per Yahoo News. They also stated their assumptions regarding why the 21-year-old decided to share her beliefs on a public platform. They said, "she always wanted to be popular, Julia once wanted to be a singer, a model. We are devastated by the current situation," they said. The family hesitated to give their pictures or interview as Polish police are currently investigating the case.
Why did Julia Wandelt's family deny taking DNA test?
According to unconfirmed reports, Dr Fia Johansson, who is a private detective in the case claims, "We want to be very respectful to the McCann family, and respect the privacy of them and their kids while we don't know exactly who Julia is. My feeling is that we need to force the mother or a member of Julia's family to take the DNA test rather than disrupt the peace of Kate and Garry, which is not necessary," Further Fia added, "We want to be very respectful to the McCann family, and respect the privacy of them and their kids while we don't know exactly who Julia is. My feeling is that we need to force the mother or a member of Julia's family to take the DNA test rather than disrupt the peace of Kate and Garry, which is not necessary." Meanwhile, Wandelt's request for a DNA test has allegedly been authorized by the McCann family, and it will soon be carried out, reports The Sun.
'I can’t help but wonder why her Mom said no to a DNA test…'
The Internet had various opinions as the Wandelt family spoke up. A user said, " Oh God. Like watching a train wreck." Another wondered, "I can’t help but wonder why her Mom said no to a DNA test…" Another added, "it never made sense to me, with all the technology available, she couldn’t do a 23&Me or a lower level dna something or other to connect to her own family BEFORE re-traumatizing this poor family. At least it may re-energize the search for details of her murder." "Read this last night this girl is very troubled to say the least so sad she has done this," wrote a user. A user added, "I’ve been saying since the beginning she isn’t Madeline… everyone said I need glasses but I’m telling you she isn’t her. Looks way too different in my opinion!"
