MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Being a celebrity comes with its perks, but it also comes with a lot of scrutiny. Celebrities are constantly in the limelight, and everything they do is closely monitored and analyzed by the public. Actress and television personality, Denise Richards, recently found herself at the receiving end of this kind of attention when she shared a photo of her new puppy on social media. The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star was gifted a French Bulldog puppy by her daughter, Sami Sheen, for Easter. The little pooch was instantly loved by the family, and Denise couldn't help but share her excitement with her followers on social media.

However, the internet soon became abuzz with claims that the adoption of the pup was fake. Many people on social media were quick to question the authenticity of the adoption and accused Denise of buying the puppy from a breeder instead of adopting it from a shelter. They claimed that it was highly unlikely for the Bravo celeb to adopt a purebred French Bulldog, which is a highly sought-after breed, without a waiting period. They also speculated that the puppy looked too young to have been separated from its mother and that it was likely that Denise had bought the puppy from a breeder.

Denise Richards 'adopts' a blue Frenchie

Denise, the 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star, recently took to her social media platform, Instagram, to share a delightful update with her followers. In a series of heart-warming photographs posted in a carousel, she was seen holding a precious little blue Frenchie, whom she had welcomed into her family with open arms. In the pictures, she is seen showering the little pup with tender kisses and affection. The new addition to Denise's family came as a pleasant surprise to her, as it was gifted to her by her daughter, Sami Sheen, on the occasion of Easter. The pup was an instant hit with Denise and her family, who were overjoyed to welcome the little bundle of joy into their lives. The star couldn't contain her excitement as she captioned the post with the message, "Happy Easter!!! My daughter brought a surprise & adopted this lil one for me. His name is Maverick after Tommy Cruise @tomcruise in #topgun obviously. He's a little buttercup we love him already. Have a wonderful Easter..." However, as is often the case with celebrities, the post was not without controversy. Fans were quick to voice their concerns over the authenticity of the adoption, speculating that the puppy may have been purchased from a breeder instead. Despite Denise's statement that the pup was adopted, some of her followers remained skeptical and demanded proof of adoption.

'Doesn't look like a rescue at all'

When Denise shared pictures of her newly adopted puppy, she raised concerns among some of her fans. Despite Denise's claims that the little blue Frenchie named Maverick was adopted, several fans seem to believe otherwise and have expressed their skepticism in the comments section of the post. According to these fans, there are several red flags that indicate that Maverick may not have been adopted, but instead purchased from a breeder. One said, "“Adopted” the most sought after pure bred right now ,sure," while another added, "He looks bought, not adopted." Someone wrote, "I highly doubt this designer cutie was adopted. Lol. They run about 5k for starters. Never mind a blue." A user added, "Bad example you are setting there," while another asked her the right questions, "What rescue did she adopt him from?". A comment really stood out, where the user said, "Rescues actually do have Frenchies. But I do not think this particular dog is a rescue from a shelter.''

Denise Richards lends support to daughter Sami Sheen for OnlyFans

Denise, a proud mother, has shown unwavering support for her daughter Sami amidst the controversy surrounding the teenager's OnlyFans account. Even Charlie Sheen, Sami's biological father, raised an eyebrow! However, Denise chose to join the typically risqué platform herself because it provides account holders with ownership rights over their content. This is precisely why she was accepting of Sami's decision to create an account at the age of 18. Initially, Denise was unaware of what OnlyFans entailed, but as she began to learn more about the platform, she was impressed by how it apparently incorporates the best features of every social media platform into one.

According to Richards, the defining feature of OnlyFans is content ownership. In contrast, other sites can sell your content without your consent. On Instagram and similar platforms, users often share photos of themselves in bathing suits, which she believes is no different from OnlyFans, except that you have greater control over your content on the latter. This is why even Denise followed suit and made her own OnlyFans account.
