Johnny Depp called ex Vanessa Paradis a ‘French extortionist c**t’ in email to Elton John
According to the legal team for Johnny Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp branded his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his children, a 'French extortionist c**t' in an email to British musician Elton John. During his testimony, Depp, 58, said that Heard, 36, informed him that his two children, Lily-Rose Depp, 22, and John Christopher Depp III, 20, didn't like him and that he was a 'bad father' but in reality, his children didn’t like Heard.
Heard's legal team responded to the claim by sharing a 2013 email from Depp to Sir Elton in which Depp expressed his dissatisfaction with Paradis, 49, his partner from 1998 to 2012. Depp wrote to Sir Elton that his children had ‘fallen head over heels’ for Heard and that Paradis would try to ‘brainwash’ his children to oppose her. Depp wrote, “On the other side of the coin… my kids have fallen head over heels in deep love with Amber (my girl) and that pressure off my shoulders is f***ing gone!!! That is unlike the ‘French extortionist (ex c**t) attempts to brainwash them against her… which, I’m sure is imminent.”

According to Daily Mail, Depp discussed his bond with Sir Elton, stating that he helped him stay clean and away from the 'monster' of alcoholism early in his relationship with Heard. Depp admitted that he drank a lot following his 2012 split from Paradis. Depp stated that he texted Sir Elton in 2012 to express his gratitude. “If it weren’t for you, I would’ve been swallowed up by the monster if it weren’t for you. That is a simple fact," he wrote at the time, according to Depp. He also testified in court that, “Elton was a dear friend who had been sober for 40 years … We had [a] discussion, and he wanted me to get clean, sober."
Meanwhile. Depp and Heard's defamation trial began on Monday, April 11, in Fairfax, Virginia, after Depp's lawsuit against his ex-wife in March 2019. Depp believes she defamed him in an essay published in The Washington Post in December 2018 titled “I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change”. In her 2018 op-ed, Heard wrote that “like many women, I had been harassed and sexually assaulted by the time I was of college-age. But I kept quiet — I did not expect filing complaints to bring justice. And I didn’t see myself as a victim. Then two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out.”
While Depp was not named in the article, his legal team claims it bears a clear implication that Depp is a domestic abuser, which they claim is 'categorically and demonstrably false.' Depp is claiming not less than $50 million in damages. On the other hand, Heard has also filed a $100 million lawsuit against Depp, claiming nuisance and immunity from his accusations.
