MOSCOW, IDAHO: On November 13, 2022, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin were allegedly murdered by 28-year-old PhD student Bryan Kohberger. He was charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary following his arrest on December 30, 2022. Since news of his arrest broke, internet sleuths have promoted a number of illogical theories regarding Kohberger.
A web sleuth recently shared another outlandish theory, reportedly claiming that Kohberger can use his mobile phone in the cell for a couple of hours, and the general public can "chat" with him using the Latah County Jail app. The user wrote, "In case anyone wants to chat with #BryanKohberger there's an app for that. Please don't! This is just an FYI only post."

Along with a tweet, the user reportedly shared an image where the user took a screenshot of Bryan Kohberger's possible schedule. The screenshot reads, "In all likelihood, he's on a 23/1, so he's locked-down (unless out of his cell with attorneys) 23 hours a day and allowed out 1 hour, alone, for recreation and to shower...maybe make a phone call or two. So, lots of reading, lots of pacing around the cell, and lots and lots of constantly estering the Deputies working the jail asking stupid questions like what time it is and pretending to have a medical emergencies."
The image further reads, "In experienced inmates who've never been in serious trouble suddenly finding themselves looking at serious time in prison are a nightmare for C/O's."
"Aside from his charges, the Dep's are going to despise this guy just based off how I know he'll behave. He won't be having fun in there...I know that for certain."

Since the heinous murders, the Internet has been flooded with illogical and conspiracy theories about the victims and the suspect. However, there's no assurance if there's any app from where the general public can chat with Kohberger or not. However, the police withheld some material information from the general public. Following Kobherger's first court appearance, some crucial details were made public.
About Bryan Kohbeger's arrest
Kohberger was taken into custody on December 30 at his parents' house in eastern Pennsylvania, which is more than 2,000 miles from Moscow. He was transferred to the Latah County Jail late on January 4 after being extradited to Idaho. As previously reported, Kohberger is the only person under suspicion. Before being caught, the suspect was already on the authorities' radar.
About Bryan Kohbeger's trial
The judge has imposed a gag order in the case, as was previously reported. On January 12, Kohberger waived his right to an immediate preliminary hearing. The following hearing will now begin on June 26. The PhD student allegedly committed the heinous murders after stalking the victims for months, according to the unsealed affidavit. He reportedly left a tan, leather sheath at the crime scene, and it was later reported that his DNA was discovered close to the victims' bodies.
