MOSCOW, IDAHO: A new body cam footage has been released by the Moscow Police Department, which was recorded on the fateful night when the four University of Idaho students were murdered. On November 13, the lives of Madison Mogen, 21, her best friend Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, and his girlfriend Xana Kernodle, 20, were reportedly taken between 3 am and 4 am.
Around the same time, it has been said that the cops in plain clothes stopped three University of Idaho students in a field between West Taylor Avenue and the Sigma Chi fraternity, not very far from the place where the quadruple homicide occurred. The youngsters were confronted by the law enforcement officials at about 2.50 am on November 13 for alleged underage drinking, Fox News reported. The incident, recorded by the police bodycam, has now been released. The video reportedly showed police issuing citations to the three students after they accepted that their age was less than 21 and all of them had six to eight beers each.

However, it has been clarified by the officials that the people who were stopped that night have nothing to do with the massacre. In a statement issued by Moscow Police, they said, “Investigators working on the current homicide case are aware of the footage, they have reviewed it and all the details associated with it and have determined it is not related.”
This comes after investigators are looking for the owner of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra, which was reportedly seen near the horror house around the time when the killings happened. The Moscow Police Department said in a statement shared via Facebook that “detectives are interested in speaking with the occupant(s) of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra, with an unknown license plate. Tips and leads have led investigators to look for additional information about a vehicle being in the immediate area of the King Street residence during the early morning hours of November 13th. Investigators believe the occupant(s) of this vehicle may have critical information to share regarding this case.”
It noted, “If you know of or own a vehicle matching this description, or know of anyone who may have been driving this vehicle on the days preceding or the day of the murders, please forward that information to the Tip Line. Information can be submitted: • Tip Line: 208-883-7180 • Email: tipline@ci.moscow.id.us • Digital Media: fbi.gov/moscowidaho Your information, whether you believe it is significant or not, might be the piece of the puzzle that helps investigators solve these murders.”
The statement also added that “at this time, no suspect has been identified and only vetted information that does not hinder the investigation will be released to the public.
