MOSCOW, IDAHO: The family of one of the victims of the Idaho massacre has revealed their intention to get a lawyer as they try to get answers as soon as possible from the investigators. Kaylee Goncalves' family lost their daughter alongside three others – Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20 — on November 13.

Since then they have been desperately waiting for cops to nab the four students' killer. Kaylee’s father, Steve Goncalves, told Fox News, “There are things that we can request and things we can do to get to the truth faster. You have to fill out forms to get this evidence released to you. I don't know how to do that.”

Expressing his frustration towards the investigators, who have reportedly failed to find any concrete information related to the crime that happened nearly a month ago, he shared, “They’ve messed up a million times. But I don’t get to say that because what experience does Steve have? He doesn’t know. He’s just a dad who woke up one day and had his life turned upside down.”

The grieving father also pointed out his issue with the Moscow Police Department, which has just apparently ignored a lot of wild speculations and theories about the mass slayings. It has been said that Kaylee’s relatives have already started taking help from a private detective, who has “50 years of experience and an 87% success rate in solving cases,” Fox News stated as Steve describes him as “a true pro."

Referring to cops’ apparent rejection of any relation between the quadruple murders and the killings in Oregon and Washington, the father reportedly added, “Don’t treat us like we’re a bunch of little kids. You’re saying it’s not related. Then tell us why it’s not related.”

This comes after previously the police justified their work as Col Kedrick Wills of Idaho State Police said as reported by The Daily Mail, “There are an awful lot of efforts going on behind the scenes - a lot goes on behind the scenes that can't be discussed. We understand you want answers, we want answers too, but these take time. We believe we owe this to the surviving families to get this right.”

“We're not willing to sacrifice speed for quality. We collected 103 pieces of evidence, we took approximately 4,000 photographs, we've conducted 3D scans of the residence, we've processed over 1,000 total tips and conducted 150 interviews...I hope that gives a perception of just how complex this investigation is. We ask you to please remain patient as this investigation unfolds,” Wills added.

Captain Roger Lanier of the Moscow Police Department had also noted, “We have the integrity of the investigation to preserve. Releasing [what we know] may or may not flood us with a lot of information that's not relevant. Want more information but we don't want to put our investigation in jeopardy by releasing what we have. There's a balance between what you're willing to release, vs what you want to gather. To be honest, you're going to have to trust us.”
