How to watch 'Supernatural' series finale event online for free, stream Season 15 Episode 20 from anywhere

The boys return one last time for their final ride as the series comes to an end after 15 long years on Thursday, November 19. Relive some of the greatest moments of this journey in the one-hour finale special 'Supernatural: The Long Road Home'.

You can expect a 'Greatest Hits' version of the best moments from the show and hear from the show’s stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert in this special presentation. In addition to the main cast, creator Eric Kripke, executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb as well as a few beloved guest stars like Mark Sheppard, Kim Rhodes, Jim Beaver, Samantha Smith and Ruth Connell will be making appearances, talking about being on the show.

The chances of seeing previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage (and fingers crossed Jared Padelecki's off-camera shenanigans) will be pretty high. We can also expect the cast and the creatives to reveal previously unheard gems about what went to making the show grueling season after season. But chances are you aren't going to see Sera Gamble, given her love-hate relationship with fans and the complaints of how she steered the show after Kripke ended his run as showrunner. 'Supernatural: The Long Road Home' will air Thursday, November 19, at 8 pm ET, immediately before the series finale of 'Supernatural' on The CW. The one-hour season and show finale, Season 15's Episode 20, will begin airing at 9 pm.

It is titled 'Carry On', referencing the song Kansas' 'Carry On Wayward Son' that has become the show's signature tune. In a mega streak of coincidence, the 'Supernatural' finale will air November 19, 2020, exactly 44 years after the song was released on November 19, 1976. The show was supposed to conclude earlier this year but ended up getting delayed because of the pandemic. Fans are hoping that, like always, the last ever finale will also start with the song, which is a tradition since the Season 1 finale.

The at-times prophetic show has sometimes spooked fans in 2020. Chuck's warning to hoard toilet paper has come true and don't forget the crazy townspeople in the locked-down town or even the demonic "Croatoan" virus featured on the show. Sounds eerily similar to coronavirus, doesn't it? Will the last episode also yield such gems years after the show is gone from our TV screens? Only Jack and maybe Amara will know the answer to that.

But what we know is how you can catch this two-hour finale event. Get your tushies on the couch by 8 pm on November 19 and tune in to The CW channel. But, if for whatever reasons, you miss the live broadcast, you will still have several other ways to catch the show for free.

The final episode of 'Supernatural' will be available on The CW App by 11 pm PST on Thursday night. You can also stream it the next day on Friday in case you miss the live broadcast.
