How to watch 'Magnum PI' Season 3 Premiere for free: Higgins gets shot and asked out in Episode 1
'Magnum PI', the reboot of that old classic, is back! The wait for Season 3 is over and the show will premiere on December 4 at 9/8c on CBS will an all-new episode titled 'Double Jeopardy'. The episode will also star 'Hawaii Five-0’s Kimee Balmilero and Shawn Garnett as guest stars.
According to the episode's synopsis, Thomas Magnum and Juliet Higgins' new clients hire them to find their missing brother, who was last seen on the island. But things go belly up when a secret case of revenge is revealed during the investigations. It leads to Higgins being shot and Theodore “TC” Calvin being abducted.
There is also some possibilities of some love triangle tension and romantic possibilities in the air that the season premiere will set up. Jay Ali as Dr Ethan Shah is the newest cast member on the show and has signed up in a recurring role as Higgins' new love interest. Dr Shah is the hot doctor Higgins will meet when she's injured. After the charming and confident surgeon at Kings Medical Hospital will operate on her (and save her life no less), and once she's no longer his patient, he will ask her out to dinner. This will surprise not only Higgins, but also Magnum!
We can definitely expect some jealousy on Magnum's end. Jay Hernandez who plays Magnum has spoken before about the underlying romantic tensions between his character and Perdita Weeks' character. "There is something percolating beneath the surface [between them] that I don't think Magnum wants to explore, but he knows he cares for this person and doesn't want her to go away," he has said in an interview. Having a love rival could push him to articulate some of these mixed feelings for Higgins and we can't wait to see how he will treat Dr Shah. Now that Higgins is running things at the Robin’s Nest, there is plenty of possibilities for awkward situations.
The 10-sec promo doesn't give away much besides the bit about Higgins being shot and how next week's episode will deal with a plane crash. To catch up on this action-packed Friday night series, premiere onward, here's what you need to do. Tune in to the CBS channel on Dec. 4 at 9/8c. 'Magnum PI' Season 3 Episode 1 will air right after 'MacGyver' and before 'Blue Bloods'.
