'Yellowstone' star Taylor Sheridan bills Paramount $50K per week to film show at his ranch
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paramount's ‘Yellowstone’ first began in 2018, and after five successful seasons, it's now coming to an end. This series was created by the very talented Taylor Sheridan, but recent findings have revealed that ‘Yellowstone’ was a lot more expensive to create than one would have anticipated. It isn’t about paying the writers enough, or having the perfect camera equipment if that’s where your mind went. Instead, the ridiculous expenses all point toward Taylor Sheridan!
Undoubtedly, these expenses have caused some frustrations internally and one can’t help but wonder if they contributed toward the end of ‘Yellowstone’ Sheridan is an experienced filmmaker and actor with enough in his pocket with his earnings, which has made everyone take a deeper look at what these expenses are all about!

What is Taylor Sheridan charging money for?
‘Yellowstone’ is a neo-western series, which means that there is significant use of ranches and cattle. The Wall Street Journal did a deep dive into these expenses, and turns out, Sheridan bills Paramount $50,000 a week for using his ranch. That isn’t where the filmmaker’s expenses stop as he also rents out cattle at his ranch for $25 a head. While this might seem like satire, it is reality and Paramount seems stuck in a position where they can’t help but say no to Sheridan’s expenses, considering he is the man behind ‘Yellowstone'.
Of course, there are also some horses involved, but the kicker is, the horse wrangler was brought in for Sheridan’s horses in particular and charged Paramount $3,000. A local horse wrangler would have charged a lot lesser, but by the looks of it, what Sheridan wants, Sheridan gets! Wall Street Journal also claimed that these expenses have caused internal conflict amongst the staff and creators of ‘Yellowstone'.
Is ‘Yellowstone’ ending because of Sheridan?
While Sheridan’s expenses might have cost Paramount a lot of money with regard to ‘Yellowstone', they have also earned some huge profits thanks to the actor. The filmmaker also has a lot more in store for fans and the production company.
‘Yellowstone’ has been rumored to be concluding because of scheduling conflicts amongst other things, and the one name that is highlighted the most is Kevin Costner. The rumors are never-ending, but if there’s one thing for sure, is that Sheridan is an incredibly rich man and will continue being so as his other productions roll out!
