‘How It Really Happened with Hill Harper’ Season 5 begins with a comprehensive look at the baffling case of The Atlanta Serial Killer

Eager to know the nuts and bolts behind some of the most controversial cases? HLN’s longest-running series ‘How It Really Happened with Hill Harper’ is all set to begin its fifth season where host Hill Harper dives into the deepest, darkest, gruesome mysteries and murders of the past with several experts.

According to a press release the docuseries looks into some of the most notorious crimes, mysteries, trials, and celebrity tragedies with enlightening interviews and access to the vast CNN news library. In Season 5, the series begins with a comprehensive look at the baffling case of the Atlanta Serial Killer, on Sunday, August 23 at 9pm-11pm ET/PT. The six-episode season also features Siegfried & Roy, the Boston bombing, the murder of Michael Jordan’s father, the mysterious death of rock legend Tom Petty, and the bizarre case of the Yosemite Mountain Murders.

Born in Iowa, Hill was raised by his psychiatrist father Harry D Harper, II, and Marilyn Harper, who was reportedly not only one of the first black practicing anesthesiologists in the United States but also co-authored a book named 'Wearing Purple'. Hill began his love affair with acting at the age of seven while he was still in school.

First seen in shows like Fox's 'Married... with Children' and short film 'Confessions of a Dog', he was then cast in films like Christopher Scott Cherot's 'Hav Plenty' (1997) and Spike Lee's 'He Got Game' (1998). In the early 2000s, he was a part of films like 'The Skulls' and Jordan Walker-Pearlman's 'The Visit' (2000). However, it was his stint as the coroner-turned-crime scene investigator Sheldon Hawkes on CBS's crime drama 'CSI: NY' that earned him global recognition.The 54-year-old is most popular for his roles in the ABC series 'The Good Doctor' and 'Limitless' 

Keisha Lance Bottoms

The 60th mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, Keisha Lance Bottoms was a member of the Atlanta City Council, representing part of Southwest Atlanta before being elected in 2017. Born on January 18, 1970, she was raised by her mother Sylvia Robinson and R&B singer-songwriter Major Lance. In June 2019, she endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries and was said to be a possible vice-presidential pick for Biden in a Politico report dated back to March 2020.
