HOUSTON, TEXAS: Randy Gonzalez, the father in the viral TikTok duo Enkyboys, died on Wednesday, January 25, following a battle with colon cancer. He was 35 years old. Many were left shocked with one saying, “Man…. this is so sad! Prayers to his family and most definitely to his children! I was hoping he would pull through! He was so young!”

According to TMZ, Gonzalez died while in hospice care. Prior to his death, he revealed in April 2022 that he had been diagnosed with stage four colon cancer six months prior, and was given two to three years to live. “The doctor said I had two, three years to live, and he said with chemo, I have five years to live. And you know, I didn’t know how to take it. It was devastating,” he said, as quoted by Complex.

He also started a GoFundMe page, which collected over $252K to cover the cost of his chemotherapy at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center after his insurance was not accepted. Following this, in November 2022, he gave an update saying, “I wanna be a testimonial of this, in another year or so, when I’m still alive and when I beat it,” states Complex.

Gonzalez and his six-year-old son, Brice, also used their account to spread awareness about colon cancer. Gonzalez's most recent health update came in December 2022, where he said, as per ET Online, "It's going good. Except I have to change my chemo because it's not working right now, but I do feel good. I'm just happy that we're back in Texas with the family."

Following the news of his demise, tributes poured in. Justice Alexander, popularly known as LGNDFRVR, wrote, "I’m truly heartbroken and beyond devastated. I don’t even have the perfect words to express how I feel at this exact moment! I wish I wasn’t writing this right now 💔 We genuinely built a bond beyond social media. We became brothers. We became family. Just two fathers that loves their family and want to create an everlasting legacy for them. Randy Gonzalez, you’re a true warrior, a true fighter and your faith has made a huge impact in this world that we will never forget. I will cherish all the times and memories. I love you brother and I’m going to miss you immensely. REST IN PARADISE RANDY GONZALEZ! #ENKYBOYSFOREVER."

Very heartbreaking! Praying for the family." One more tweeted, "Damn RIP Randy Gonzalez from Tiktok! If you don’t know or remember him this is him and his son’s most famous tiktok.
