How did Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain meet? Little Mix singer pregnant with soccer star's baby
Perrie Edwards, British singer and member of the British girl group Little Mix, has announced she is pregnant with her first baby with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a British professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Liverpool and the England national team.
Sharing photos of themselves and her baby bump on Instagram, Edwards wrote: “So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!” This news comes less than a week after Edwards’ bandmate Leigh-Ann Pinnock announced she is also expecting her first child with fiancé Andre Gray.

Per the Daily Mail, the couple moved in together in 2019 in Cheshire. In January, it was reported that they are moving to a road in Wilmslow, Cheshire, where former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson lives.
How did Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain meet?
Chamberlain reportedly first met Little Mix members back in January 2015 during an interview on BT Sport. Unfortunately, Edwards wasn't able to attend. Her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Ann Pinnock, however, were all in attendance. At the time, Edwards was still engaged to her ex Zayn Malik.
In August 2015, it was reported that Malik called off his engagement to Edwards. Sources said that she was "devastated." In November the same year, Malik broke his silence on the split and denied rumors that he had broken up via text message. "I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that," he said in an interview with Fader magazine.
Opening up about her love life in March 2016, Edwards said, "There is no rush at all for us to be dating — we’re just enjoying ourselves. I always say I like my own company — to the point where that person would have to compete. I love doing my own thing — it just makes me feel independent. I don’t think a woman should ever feel the need for a man."
In November 2016, the singer was spotted at one of Chamberlain’s Arsenal games. This spawned dating rumors. Around the same time, it was also reported that the soccer player went to support the singer at ‘The X Factor’ when Little Mix was performing. An insider told a tabloid: "Alex is clearly smitten with Perrie and he looked like he loved the girls' performance. He didn’t take his eyes off her throughout the entire thing and he didn’t stop smiling."
In January next year, Edwards (and her mother) began following the soccer player on Instagram. It was then that Edwards made her relationship with Chamberlain official by posting a picture on Instagram.
She then deleted the post, leading to rumors that the pair had split but in February, Edwards shared a photograph of them kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower on her Instagram. In January 2019, the singer joked that they almost split up over a game of Articulate. "We had a date night, it was competitive, it got out of hand," she said on Radio 1's ‘Superstar Playlist’. “I swear to God I thought he was going to dump me — and I thought I was going to dump him. If you think I’m competitive, you should meet him.”
In July the same year, the singer opened up about their relationship, saying: "I'm a little creep sometimes, I'm a little weirdo. And he loves me for that, and that's why I'm like, 'Woohoo!' You know? I don't have to put on a front and be this perfect girlfriend."
