FLORIDA: Louise Harrison, the sister of the late Beatles lead guitarist George Harrison, died at the age of 91 on Monday, January 30. The news of her death was shared through a post on her Facebook page. Tributes started pouring in on social media after the announcement.
Louise, who is credited for promoting The Beatles to media outlets in the US and helping the band crack America, was the eldest of four siblings, with George being the youngest. They had two other brothers - Harry and Peter Harrison, who died of cancer in 2007. George died in November 2001 after battling cancer.

How did Louise Harrison die?
Marty Scott, a member of the Liverpool Legends, shared the news of Louise's death through her Facebook page and wrote," Louise Harrison passed away yesterday… It’s really hard for me to get words out at the moment, but Lou meant the world to me… Since the day I met her my life was changed forever... It was just a few weeks after George passed and it started a whirlwind of change in my entire world. She’s been my family now for over 20 years." Scott added, "She was a huge part of my life and did so many things for me and Liverpool Legends." He also noted that he saw Louise a few weeks ago and it felt like "she was saying goodbye for the last time."
The cause of her death has not been disclosed yet but Scott in his message mentioned that Harrison "passed painlessly and peacefully." Harrison reportedly received hospice care in Florida before her death, as reported by The Sun.
'Will be deeply missed'
Tributes poured in on social media after the news came out. "Very sad to wake up to the news that Louise Harrison, sister of George, has died. I interviewed her for my book and she was so much fun to talk to. She will be deeply missed," wrote author John F Lyons. "RIP Louise Harrison. Sister to George, a published author, and manager of a Beatles tribute band, The Liverpool Legends. Died at the age of 91," added another.

A user wrote a heartfelt note for Louise, wishing her the best in "connecting back with her baby brother". There repeated connection over the decades was stronger than any other," wrote the user. Meanwhile, another wrote, "I'm saddened to hear that Louise Harrison has passed away at the age of 91 at a care home in Florida. She was George’s older sister and was brilliant with us fans.
