LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britt Stewart and Daniel Durant are officially engaged!
On December 29, 2023, the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ pro and the ‘CODA’ actor announced their engagement on social media.
"Forever", the pair wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
While having a chat with People magazine, Durant revealed that he popped the big question to his ladylove Stewart on Christmas Eve.
Durant proposed to Stewart while the two of them were out and about on a hike in Lake Arrowhead, California, with their families on Christmas Day.
Durant went down on one knee and asked Stewart to marry him after they reached the top of the mountain.
At the time of the proposal, Stewart's mom and stepdad, Jasmin and Lonnie Speed, and Durant's moms, Lori Durant and Mary Engels were also present with the pair to celebrate the happy occasion.
Durant told the magazine, “I was the last one — and I started talking about the year, about us meeting and everything that happens in life. I just feel like there's balance. She sees me. She knows my culture, my language, and understands everything about me.”
Stewart added, “We were both emotional, overwhelmed with joy and at peace knowing that this would eventually be part of our story. It felt like magic, but at the same time, it felt right and normal."

When did ‘DWTS’ pros Britt Stewart and Daniel Durant begin dating?
Stewart and Durant met each other for the first time on Season 31 of ‘DWTS.’
They were paired together as a celebrity contestant and dancing pro in fall 2022.
The two lovebirds started dating soon after Durant’s stint on the dance competition ’Dancing With The Stars’ came to an end.
They didn’t start dating until their journey on the dance show ended because they had all their focus on the competition.
Durant added, "I'm a really competitive person, I wanted to win this thing and so I saw that in her and we trained.”
Stewart even learned American Sign Language (ASL) after she got to know that Durant would be her dance partner.
Stewart mentioned, “When I met him and found out he was my partner on Dancing With the Stars, immediately I was like, I must learn ASL because I'm teaching him how to dance. I'm not going to use his interpreter."

On the other hand, Stewart also posted a video of the pair dancing to Montell Fish's ‘Fall in Love with You’ on her Instagram account. She simply inserted a heart emoji in the caption of the post.
