In the '90s night episode, we saw Daniel talking about his life. He opened up about his childhood. Daniel was adopted by two moms after being abandoned by his birth mother. Later, he reunited with his birth mother but soon after that, she died of cancer. Because of the same, he regrets not being able to help her in her difficult situation. Daniel and his partner Britt Stewart decided to shut the music for the '90s Night episode, to give the audience as well as the panelists a clear view of how it feels like to Daniel. Well, this seems to do the magic and touched everyone's heart. Carrie Ann Inaba claimed that the performance was "education and profound" but at the same time it was "funky."
